People taking peelies (coupons) off items in the store

Do you think it is wrong or okay for people to take peelies (coupons) off of items in the store when they don't ever buy that item?

OH, and here's my opinion.

I do not open things to retrieve a coupon. I don't feel comfortable with that.

I do not tear open containers or packages or wrappings to retrieve a coupon. I don't feel comfortable with that.

I do however, FILCH A PEELIE sometimes when I see them! EEK! I CONFESSED! TAKE ME TO JAIL!

Ohhh.. yeah. This'll be shut down soon, I'm sure.. But the Target thread can come and explode over here and everyone can get it off their chest first.

Outside the box, yes.
Inside the box, not unless I was buying it.
In Walgreens, everythings fair game. I'd pull it out of an employee's intenstine if it was a good coupon.

Depends on the product and the coupon I guess. The one brand of pasta sauce I love will sometimes give coupons. They are coupons that are attached to a perforated ring around the jar opening. They have no expiration date. Once I was buying a couple jars and found the store did not put the coupons on the jars, just left them rubber banded together in a pile sitting on the shelf. I took about 1/2 the pile. I only have a couple left as I use them frequently but will also hand them out to friends so they can try the sauce. I have gotten about 4 people hooked on it so far.

EEK! So it depends on the store you are in? I'm glad I don't work at Walgreens..

I would have done this as well. A sheet of stickers, a stack of coupons.. I'm pickin' some up.

Target did this once with $0.50 off 2 Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper and they had put the 4-packs on clearance for $0.25. I grabbed the whole sheet and all the 4-packs they had left & waltzed out of there with a cart full of soda for free.

ya think? LMAO gotta admit, the OP of that thread was something else. Most of what was said was done to irritate him, only the lounge regulars didn't know that and thought alot of people were serious. The OP of that post was banned shortly after starting it.

(P...sstt.. laugh out loud Some of us weren't here for the pond's thread, although I've heard about it. EEK! So we didn't get to gripe and complain and accuse other people of taking coupons and peelies and defend our positions.) Com'on, where are some of those CVS and Wags folks? I know they have strong opinions about this.. laugh out loud

What about a peelie that falls OFF of a package and onto the floor? Any takers here..? Would you pick it up and keep it? Or would you stick it back on the package where it rightfully goes..?
