People taking peelies (coupons) off items in the store

486 September 25, 2008 at 05:01 PM in Chat (4)
Do you think it is wrong or okay for people to take peelies (coupons) off of items in the store when they don't ever buy that item?

I've been reading some of this thread and I'm realizing more and more than people are just nucking futs.

I might take an occasional extra peelie but I make sure to leave some for the next guy. I was in the grocery store and some lady was climbing on the shelves taking every peelie. I bet she had a 20 some peelies. WTH. Greed turns some people into pigs.

You might not get arrested for it. But it's a nasty thing to do when you take ALL the peelies from the store.
You saw a peelie badger in it's natural habitat! Whee

I learned from the OP of this thread to neither confirm nor deny your peelie preferences Roll

It is amazing the lengths that people will go to to convince themselves that they aren't doing anything wrong. Just amazing! Taking a peelie off of an item without buying that item is wrong. Really not complicated.

The 800flowers coupons do not say anything about purchasing the chocolates that I saw.

LOL- so, the fact that the coupon is attached to the box of chocolates wasn't enough of a clue for you? You need it spelled out? LMAO Proves my point exactly. People find ways to justify doing whatever they want to do. That 1800 flowers thread makes me sick to my stomach, so much greed, so many people justifying illegal/unethical behavior. But hey, as long as it's a deal, right? Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

LMAO That's the line I use all the time! High Five

Personally as long as you use the peelie coupon the way it was intended ($1.00 off the purchase of two whatever, or get a $1.00 off crackers when you buy this box of cookies) at some point, I don't see anything wrong with it. Smilie

Hmmm...

"I don't have an "argument." Just some thoughts and questions..."

Sounds like an argument to me. Whistling Actually, you're right, it's not an argument, it's an attempt to shove your viewpoint on the subject down everyone else's throat, with no reasoning. You're right and everyone who doesn't agree is a thief. Annoyed

Maybe you should take your own advice?

Nope, I'm not a thief.

Although, if I HAD gone to Walgreen's to BUY the candy with the coupon, and the coupon was not there, I'd have been pretty pissed, and I'd know who to blame!

It does piss me off when I want to buy something and the peely coupon is missing. I went to buy shampoo few months ago and almost all of the peelies were gone, like ten bottles on the shelf. Luckily the greedy douche left a couple in the back.

I don't consider it theft, but I do consider the perp a douchebag.

Really? Do you personally stalk the peelie-takers at your local walgreens? Ninja What are you gonna do if you find out a particular one is to blame for your couponlessness? Send them a nasty letter? Call the police? LMAO

Now, I understand everyone has pet peeves. But there's a difference between a pet peeve and full-on belligerent, raging hatred...

Who would you blame because I read on another thread that the employees were taking them before they even got to the shelves laugh out loud
