Of course we have coordination problems here as well....I had the same blank stare at my ds' 5 year well check appt when asked if he could stand on one foot and skip. Why would I know this?
The Wii Fit seems to be helping with balance though! He recently started skateboarding and the Wii Fit helped BIG TIME
i was just reading your sig. line and noticed "teach kid how to hop". I found that funny because for our son's 5 year appt. they went through the list of "does he" "can he", etc. The last one was, "Can he skip." I was a deer in headlights. Skip? Ummm....I don't know. I never taught him to. Was I supposed to??? Is he not going to get into kindergarten??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! He finally spoke up and said, "What's skip?" The nurse went to show him and DIDN"T KNOW HOW TO. She said, "Well, let's just put yes down."

Not that there is anything wrong with that--but cashiers and store employees have a DIFFERENT mind set. Did you know that walmart gives an "ETHICS" test? I'm sure target does too. I failed it

It must be some indicator of coordination-- but I'm sure your son will be fine either way.

Looking back I just thought she would know how to do it, I guess. But it's really not that easy when no one just flipped you head over heels as a little one and you caught on. Never realized we never did that either.
It's strange how you think you've covered it all or at least most of the stuff and someone comes along and reminds you that the simplest things are the ones you forgot.
