Yeah......we definatly are lacking the coordination thing around here. Smilie Thanks for the story. Made me smile.

Of course we have coordination problems here as well....I had the same blank stare at my ds' 5 year well check appt when asked if he could stand on one foot and skip. Why would I know this? LMAO for the record, he now skips and dh isn't all that impressed...you know, a 7 year old boy skipping down the driveway like a character from Wizard of Oz!

The Wii Fit seems to be helping with balance though! He recently started skateboarding and the Wii Fit helped BIG TIME laugh out loud

DS, sorry for your bad run.
i was just reading your sig. line and noticed "teach kid how to hop". I found that funny because for our son's 5 year appt. they went through the list of "does he" "can he", etc. The last one was, "Can he skip." I was a deer in headlights. Skip? Ummm....I don't know. I never taught him to. Was I supposed to??? Is he not going to get into kindergarten??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! He finally spoke up and said, "What's skip?" The nurse went to show him and DIDN"T KNOW HOW TO. She said, "Well, let's just put yes down." LMAO
now that's funny. dunno, he wobbles a lot when his sugar is low, thought it would be a good idea to teach him how to hop for balance.

Nope, I need to wait until tomorrow. His numbers were great Sat/Sun, actually a little on the low side. But today he's just off, I need a good day to start it and today isn't it.

I did get an oil change, have a crappy target run and pick up a diabetes book at borders. 3 out of 6 errands done. Will do the other 3 tomorrow, must get rid of crystal light.

I'm curious--have you been doing any overages? Like the durex coupon w durex trial? or using coupons for items other than what the coupon states?

Not that there is anything wrong with that--but cashiers and store employees have a DIFFERENT mind set. Did you know that walmart gives an "ETHICS" test? I'm sure target does too. I failed it nod ---I'm too slick. They believe you are doing something wrong and it would be nice to know where that came from.
Sorry, didn't realize this had been pulled over here. I haven't been doing much overages. Did a lot of the Fur Fighters . . . but that's about it.

I'm a physical education teacher. Many kids have difficulty with skipping when they're young. Hey, I'm going to be at Northwestern University this Friday for a soccer game; show up with your son and I'll teach him to skip! I'm sure he'll be just fine! laugh out loud

Hey, I was just coming to say that! Love that song!!! I cry everytime. Of course that's only for girls and so is Stealing Cinderella. Ooohh just give me Kleenex. That's my dd's new favorite song.

I actually have a memory of being taught how to skip in pre-school or kindergarten. IIRC, I had some trouble with it. laugh out loud

It must be some indicator of coordination-- but I'm sure your son will be fine either way. Big Grin
Oh that's just like I took dd to gymnastics at 4-5 and during the first class they told all the children to tumble and then said you know "roll over.".
I realized right then and there with dozens of other moms staring at my little girl looking Confused that I had never "taught" my dd to roll over and tumble. Didn't realize you had to LEARN it.
Looking back I just thought she would know how to do it, I guess. But it's really not that easy when no one just flipped you head over heels as a little one and you caught on. Never realized we never did that either.
It's strange how you think you've covered it all or at least most of the stuff and someone comes along and reminds you that the simplest things are the ones you forgot.
