All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

So, i'm posting without catching up the last day or so. I started my ELEVEN day vacation!!!!!!!!

i am meeting my mom tomm. or friday to drop off dd and me and dh are going camping with friends. this is the FIRST time in 2 and a half years me and dh will be alone!!! I am so excited, but also afraid how me and dd are gonna react being away from each other lol...Then we're going to go back up to my mom's and hopefully I can go T shopping alot and maybe meet up with pretzels again!!

I have so much to do to get ready butttttt it's my first day of vacation, we spent all day with friends and were literally gone for almost 12 hours, so I'm gonna relax for a little bit and read some sd lol.

Ok, I'm sitting here trying not to cry.....the results came back on casey anthony's car and there was a dead body in it which means little caylee anthony is probably dead. I've been following this case since day one and I was hoping and praying they would not come back like this.

I agree. I just read 2 pages tonight and didn't see much. That's a thread you really have to be on alot to catch all the deals, unless you spend hours searching the prd's yourself.

woot Lucky you!! Enjoy your vacation and your time apart from DD. It will be tough, but you both need a break from each other every now and then. I'm sure you and DH can use the time alone too.

I think the energizer and one touch q's are just coded for intervention. I've used over $10 q's with no problem, contour is a good example

Some nice Johnsons gift sets are 15% off. Will be nice at 50% off with the $3 MFQ printable

there you are laugh out loud I was just thinking I haven't seen you today. How is ds? Did you start the new insulin yet? I sent your strips, etc. out today, I've been a little slow in getting to the post office...

Our clerk at work sent me an email today about something she needed by Thursday since I was off Friday...I'm like, I'm off Friday??? and sure enough, I had put in for a days vacation and forgot! I am soooo excited. I can use the 4 day weekend. first week in the 'hot seat' has been exhausting.

School Bus Q's.....

The one's I have are 12 q's per sheet. All the Keebler are 992's on the sheets I have. I have a receipt where I used the Keebler on cookies, and the q attached. That would be a 992. So the 992 for me attaches w/o beeps.Yahoo! The q I used to buy Nutrigrain was the one with the PopTarts on the front. It did not attach, but it didn't beep either.

The only Keebler q's I see on my sheets are: $2.00 on juice (has nutrigrain box on front),
2.00 on rubbermaid takealongs (has cheez its on front) 2.00 on jif to go (has flipsides on front)
so only three Keebler q's, all of which are 992's.

The rest are Kelloggs and are 00051's except for: 2.00 on produce (sugar pops on front), 2.00 on smuckers ( grahams on front) and 2.00 on mead (mini wheats on front) which are 992's.

So, at least at my store 992's attach w/ no beeps
the others don't attach, but no beeps.
HTH

Used teh $2 Smuckers Q tonight and it did beep . . . it is a 992.

did you only use one q? because it's coded for more than one product, so you have to use more than one q or it will beep.

edit: they are coded for one only. I don't know why it beeped. It hasn't for me. I hope they haven't updated their system just when a good money maker comes along!

My kids love the yogo's and cereal sticks too!

The kelloggs waffles are good for frozen waffles. KWIM? The french toast sticks are better. They had ones that had syrup in the middle that my ds loved, but they clearanced them out awhile ago. He was not happy about that! LMAO

LMAO...after I typed that, I went to check the thread out and the one I had stickied was closed on 8/20 due to fighting!!! Case in point! What the heck are were they fighting about this time?

What was the jf thread?
jf thread was about the john frieda luxurious volume deal going at Wags. buy 2 of them this week with the $3/2 coupon and.. let's just say the cat machine loves us. Big Grin
Quote from teri037 :
That JF thread was silly anyway. Can you image if we did all our Target deals in secret code? It would not only create mayhem, but we would all get a gazillion pm's!!!
Oh, and shopgirl, your 'babies' are soooo cute!!! What breed are they? Are they spaniels?
hehe. my babies are King Charles Cavalier Spaniels.

the skinny one in the back is Belle. she's a serious emo kid - breed is known for that. it took 3 weeks after we got her for her to finally open up to us. we stuck it out for so long because we saw how she was at the store playing with the other puppies and with the store employees so knew she had more potential than to just remain withdrawn. after we got through that she was fine with us. while she's friendly enough with people who come to our apartment, she's the kind of dog that will pee if strangers come up to her while we're walking and she freaks out at the groomers (gets a lot of slobber and loses her bowels). she is a good dog though.. just special needs. Big Grin
i also have to admit she's also not very smart. she's probably the least intelligent dog i've ever owned. but we still still love her! bounce

since the issue at the groomers.. i felt sooo bad over that. i had no idea at the time she would be so traumatized over it. but ever since then, i trim nails and cut their hair on my own. Belle just gets trimmed on her feet, ears and tail since she actually doesn't have that much fur for the breed.

Bambi is the fat one in the front. she doesn't have any of the emo issues associated with the cavaliers. but.. she does have hip dysplasia. thankfully we caught it early so she takes a joint pill every day and every once in a while also a pain pill. the doggy joint pills are expensive, but the vet said if we could find ones for people with the same ingredients and strength it will work just as well. (and they were less than half the cost! i'm glad i asked!) unfortunately we can't substitute the pain pills with people version, but she only needs half a pill once every couple weeks.. only when she's having an 'off' day. so we don't go through that fast at all.

since she's always been on the fat side, the vet put us on an exercise regime to get her weight down so it'd be less stress on her hips. at her last checkup she'd lost 8 ounces in 3 months. the vet said that was a good rate and she only needs to lose about another pound or so to get down to where she needs to be at. (these dogs aren't very big so small weight gains and losses are a lot on them)

we also got a lifelong prognosis for it. basically since we were lucky and caught it early, the vet said with this preventative care [the joint supplements + excercise + NO more jumping off the bed (which is initially why we brought her in, she wasn't walking on one of her back legs and we'd thought she'd dislocated it. it turned out she hurt herself only because of the hip dysplasia. without it she wouldn't have strained the joint. shake head)] and as long as she is having many more good days than bad (the disease is much like arthrities.. more prone to injuries, and joint is just overall sensitive to pain, heat, cold) she should be fine.

if however, she ever reaches a point where she is having more bad days than good that'd be when we'd be discussing 'salvage surgery.' the vet described it as basically cutting off the balls of the hind leg joints and fashioning new leg joints out of the bone that is left. she said it works successfully with cats and small breed dogs. whereas if we had a larger dog our only option would be a full hip replacement at a cost of $10k. EEK!
but yeah, at this point in time the vet does not think we will ever need to do the surgery because as said before.. we caught on to it early so can take the preventative treatments needed to avoid making the condition worse. she was just telling us everything about the disease and what could happen in the worst case scenario.

additionally since we'd had Bambi less than a year when she was diagnosed, the pet store we got her from completely refunded us that vet bill; which was around $400. we also had the option to return her and get a new puppy. but at that point we'd had her for 10 months and you know.. she's family!! laugh out loud
we weren't mad at the pet store for selling a 'sick puppy' - the only way to diagnose hip dysplasia is through xray. no one xrays puppies for a regular exam or checkup. shake head they did tell us they won't be purchasing any more puppies from that breeder though (its a genetic condition).

but anyways, despite their issues they really are good doggies for us. they're exactly like cats, only they're dogs. laugh out loud
they do very well in the apartment. they're lap dogs - they very much like to be held and petted. family friendly. they're not too wild or active, but not lazy either. and best of all they pretty much never bark. we have the quietest dogs in the entire building. look around
the hair is kind of bad. Belle's not so much because it's rather short for the breed. but Bambi's gets to be twice as long as it is in the picture. it just gets messy, wild and crazy looking. so i just trim it down to a #3 every now and then to keep a better control on it.

but overall they have turned out to be the perfect pets for us. they work well with our lifestyle.
i would totally recommend this breed to anyone who would like a dog that would do well in a small environment. however, i'd also recommend to do more research than dh and i did and buy from a reputable breeder to avoid running into the same health problems we had with Bambi. as far as avoiding Belle's emo personality.. if a puppy is shy, don't pick it. we knew when we bought her Belle was shy, it was no secret. so emo-ness is easy enough to avoid. nod

I know what you mean about the meds. My yorkie is so high strung we had to put her on prozac, which we got filled at RiteAid. It's so funny..we drop off the prescription and a little while later they are announcing "PEPPER, your prescription is ready for pick up" laugh out loud and then I have to go up to the counter and I just KNOW people are thinking my name is PEPPER!

And vet bills...forget it...we had a Maltese and the yorkie. The Maltese got hit by a car while being watched for us...he had to have emergency surgery $1,000. Same time, Pepper goes into her first heat. Maltese comes home from hospital with stitches from his chest to his wangy dangy and a cone around his head...I don't separate them because he is drugged and in pain..leave the room for two seconds and WHAM..they are doin 'it'...2 weeks later, Pepper is throwing up in the mornings...several weeks later we are having a C-section for her at 3 in the morning...another 600.00...Got them both fixed after that!
