When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Quote from Sharon52680 :
Just wondering how many of you are stay-at-home moms? This is the week I usually go back to work, but this year I am home with my son, who just turned four months on the 30th. Now I had planned on going back to work in October, but fate had other plans. I requested my maternity leave and it was board approved until the end of October (I was a member of the Child Study Team in a public school). So funnily enough, the week that I was leaving for my maternity leave (on Thursday) I was called in to the director's office and told that I would not be rehired for next year. This was at 9 AM on Monday. My work baby shower was at 11:30, so needless to say I was a bummed. I had been there for 2 1/2 years and had always gotten good reviews, but this director (who, coincidentally was "let go" two weeks later, karma much?) said that I had been unprofessional and that I didn't like my students. Funnily enough my first observation (before they knew I was pregnant) was perfectly fine. It was only the last two (after) that were bad. I also thought it odd that district was still willing to hire me to do summer testing and my supervisor offered to write me a letter of recommendation when I begin my job search. So anyway, I was really upset for a long time because I really loved working with my co-workers and the kids. So this September, it has been a little tough to see everyone back. Luckily, my husband is very supportive and our families are helping out with all mortgage and everything. The Target and CVS threads have helped out so much. I mean, I love being home with my son, he is such a sweet, wonderful baby, but sometimes I felt bad that I couldn't contribute to our family financially, so getting great deals that save us money or stuff to sell at our garage sales, made me feel like I could help us out monetarily, at least a little. So, thanks to everyone for all the deals and fun.
I was a teacher, then became a SAHM until my youngest was in first grade, then my DH moved out so I had to go back to work to support me and my 2 kids. Enjoy the time with your kids; it goes SO fast! My kids are now 20 and 14!

Not I, but I wish I was. Especially now that the kids are back in school. laugh out loud
Me too!!!

Quote from prdkld :
Dh says just doing coupons saves us so much that it's like a part time income.
I should be learnin my kids right now.
I look at it as my part time job. It's the only way I've survived as a single mom, working as a teacher in a small Catholic school! My youngest "gets" coupons; my oldest does, but knows that I'll buy the stuff for him.

Quote from prdkld :
I just got some of the buff. mozz sticks. Are they spicy?
I didn't think they were too spicy. We're having a TGIF buffet tonight! I figure that way my son & I can figure out which ones we like and then I can get more and TGIF, so it fits!laugh out loud

Hi Double! wave I haven't been able to keep up with both the chat thread and the T deals thread but I do check here from time to time to see how your little guy is doing. hug I'm not sure if your Derm told you or not, but often times yeast infections (both internal vomit and on the skin) are one of the first signs of high blood sugar. so we're supposed to get some hurricane rain tomorrow too??? DH told me that. Gotta run out later and get gas for the generator. I swear I'm paranoid with this insulin in the house.
You may get worse than we are. It changed it's path and is going to go right by us, just having rain right now. It's not very windy anymore.

If anyone can use these expired Kraft tearpad cpns let me know I will send them out...

11-hotdogs
14-dressing
36-wheat thins
I gave them to a girl at work to use, even wrote out how to do it and then I saw them in her locker and told her to give them back to me since she did not use them..I gave them to her on 8/26..
This is why I do not try to help people...

I have several of the FFS $10 rebates that I would like to offer but the cost of stamps to send out a bunch is quite costly. If someone would like to send a SASE to me, I'm more than happy to send it back with a rebate form-- no trade required. PM me! Big Grin

It came from a grocery store coupon booklet/online flyer. I forget the name of it. Someone posted it in the retired thread. Smilie

Don't tell DH that please. I know it, doc/I talked about it today, but I don't want to tell him yet

So DH says. I'm planning a T/KM run tomorrow and need to go to bank to get $ for tag sale. He says no way I'll be able to go out. We'll see

This is not Target related but I wanted to share in case any of you guys have an Albertsons near by.

This is the deal I did tonight at Albertsons with the quaker instant oatmeal deal *snip*
Thanks for the heads up....I haven't even had a chance to read the grocery store ads this week. I have been holding out for a good oatmeal deal...DD eats her weight in oatmeal! To Albertsons i must go.
Quote from flugette :
Another SAHM chiming in! *snip* IAlthough ... the sight of me wheeling an overloaded stroller (WITH baby inside), boxes toppling everywhere, and holding a 3-yr-old by the hand, all with a rather pregnant belly, into the post office, must be quite hilarious for people. Big Grin
Flugette, you know the post office will pick up postmarked items from your home? You can go online and request a pick-up. Only for first class or priority, so if your selling books...you may not use that. Just an FYI...

All you peeps in the path of the hurricane...be careful and keep us posted.

Quote from SoCalGal2008 :
I had one of those "OH MY GOSH" moments this morning. I have been busy couponing and going out for deals for the last few weeks. This morning I walked downstairs and looked at my house Seriously, every room was horrible!! How could I let my kids live like this? I don't know if I didn't see it or what. You know how when you are around something every day it just doesn't seem to change in your mind? I spent the entire morning sick with anxiety of having someone unexpectedly show up at the door (remnants of foster care days....sound familar, Barb? Wink ) and see my tornado of a mess everywhere. I frantically cleaned for hours. I put the baby on the carpet with some rattles and teethers and cleaned, cleaned, cleaned. My toddler (she is 3 now, I guess she's a preschooler now :sniffSmilie was begging for attention "play games with me Mommy! color with me!" I felt so bad, but figured a day of cartoons wouldn't hurt her. The house HAD to be cleaned....

I just can't seem to get the knack of balancing stuff. I can either do really well at shopping, really well at cleaning, or really well at being super fun Mommy. I've been doing this for years but still can't balance it all out!
*SNIP*
This is me too! My oldest DS is now in preschool, but for only a couple hours from 12:15-2:45. I feel like what else is there to do but take the youngest shopping? But since the closest Targets suck, maybe I'll just go home and clean instead. Sadwalk But I can completely relate to what you're saying. Right now I'm like "why am I fighting so hard to be able to buy more poptarts, RKT, etc. when I don't even have the space to put away what I already have!" But come the next moneymaker deal, I'm sure I'll be out there like usual!

Quote from Devilmomma :

Thanks Barb!

Too funny on the dog's treat machine!

Happybday Happy Birthday MOFOME!!! Happybday

Not I, but I wish I was. Especially now that the kids are back in school. laugh out loud
Thanks! And too funny on the sahm during school time!

Quote from Dutch12 :
I work full-time. I am not sure I could keep up with this thread if I was at home with the kids laugh out loud
Exactly true! I remember going back to work after my 2nd was born and telling people "I'll have more free time once I get back to work."

I agree. When I was on vac for 2 weeks just watching DS I barely checked in until night. And of course then I had a ton to catch up on.

Had a derm appt, apparently have a yeast infection on my toes ?????. Dentist cleaning. Target, kohls (first time), Rite aid (transfer rx i wuv u bfshopgirl), grocery store and WM during the break in between. Now I must go to work.

Did get pool chemicals 75%. Most of the good stuff was gone. No peelies to be seen. And holy cow, I used up my last $6 Disney peelie at WM. I thought I'd never be rid of those, now I want them back!!!
So what movies did you find at Walmart? I haven't used any there yet, would like to use some up.

Quote from SoCalGal2008 :
I thought he was balancing on the cake at first glance

Don't forget the durex.

Those pink rings might make good candle holders.

Happy Birthday you two!!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I guess I will have to show up here more often! Especially since lately all I've got to offer is off topic stuff (sorry).
