How about the small votive candles at WAGS? There is an IVC for 6/1.00 making them 17 cents each. Can you use small stuff like that? Maybe as fillers for gift bags or something?

Always thought there are only palm trees and no need for stores, since you can just survive on coconuts.
Those storms are playing hard with the east coast, huh? Let me know if you hear of any major tornadoes or such in the Fayetteville area. My property manager wouldn't realize it if someone came and moved the entire house.

I haven't had a chance to do much SDing yet. I still have boxes in my house....I think I am about down to about 20 or so left to unpack. I sold my wall shelving unit when I left Cowdunk so some of the boxes have to stay put till I buy another one. Sadly I let a gorgeous wall unit slip through my hands on Craigslist this weekend.
Did you know the city actually employs peeps to shimmy the trees and get the coconuts out so they don't hit tourists in the head when they fall??

And T is coming in 2009, right? And isn't there already a CVS there? Although I'm not sure how close you are to it and contrary to what I thought before I lived there - everything is not only a 15 minute drive from anywhere else...

Seriously, though, those kind of things can really make a sofa king unkewl work environment, just because everyone is so tense and not wanting to do the slightest little thing that might be misconstrued. Been there, done that (well, not DONE that, but I've worked somewhere that had a similar situation going on...).
I can only imagine how much worse it must be at a university...they often tend to be hotbeds (no pun intended) of politicking and backstabbing, and situations like that only add fuel to the fire.
I hope you're far enough removed from the action that you can muddle through without too much distraction.
