When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! Hi all, got q's put together to mail out today. Think I got everyone. If you don't get anything within the week, then I've probably forgotten you laugh out loud just pm me. Not very coherent tonight. Gosh, staying home during the day is active. My pm box filled up. It's great, gave me something to do while I was lying around.

I just want to second what double said this morning. I have been blessed with a beautiful, loving family. A good job, good friends and all of you. All I have to do is ask for a certain q and they start coming. I was struggling with divorce debt when I stumbled upon this site. I still have it laugh out loud, but life is better now. It's easier, much easier. Plus, it makes me feel good to know that I can help someone that I don't even know in the same way. hug
Same here. I've been a single mom for over 5 years with one in college and another in middle school. The deals I've gotten over the years is the only way I've survived financially. I'm actually having my oldest son's college soccer team to my house for a cookout when they're in town this weekend (he plays in Indianapolis and they're playing a tournament in Green Bay), and I'm able to do that because of all the good deals I get from Target, CVS and Walgreens. I've got chips, Gatorade, water, Sobe, buns, hot dogs, TGIF buffalo wings, Rice Krispie Treats, Fruit by the Foot, mini candy bars, cookies and other stuff for next to nothing using coupons, and ECBs. About the only thing I should have to pay for is burgers, some vegies and some fruit! I'm sure 30 big college boys can eat a lot though!

Quote from ArielA :
Maybe so, idk. I did sit down and talk with one of the co workers I was having issues with (the one who texted me mean things after I called off one night) and that is better, though I don't think I will ever consider her a "friend" again, kwim Smilie
I've decided that I'm going to compliment at least one person where I work each day. It seems that sometimes everyone is "out to get" the others. If someone leaves 5 minutes early they tattle, or if someone isn't at their assigned duty spot they tell other teachers about it. I'm going to do my part and try to make this a more positive place to work. I'm tired of negativity!

Does anyone actually LOVE their job? Like, looks forward to going and enjoys the time while you are there? Just wondering. I love what I do (taking care of ppl) , but hate the environment, does that make sense? I am really trying to work on a more positive outlook on life, but it is easy to get pulled back into crap Sadwalk

I wonder if I need a new profession/work environemt/ shift????
I've been super lucky in this area of my life and have had quite a few jobs that I've loved, including my current one. I'm always happy to come to work and I have wonderful co-workers. The people you work with can definitely make (or break) your love of your job!

Quote from stormy_cat :
Actually Ariel I did have a job I loved when I lived in NJ and have it up when I got engaged and moved here.

I was a Medical Assitant in Radiation Oncology. I had the most wonderful co workers and a boss that was wonderful too. Although there is sadness and I lost a lot of patients, there were the few that made it.

I had a patient that was wonderful, he and his wife had an amazing love for each other. He coded one day while getting chemo and was in a coma and out in ICU and was expected to pass. This was a week before Christmas. I went up to the hospital on Christmas eve to drop off cookies to his wife and family and well say my goodbyes. I cam back to work teh day after Christmas, and there was a note taped to the door of our dept telling me to go up to Icu Mrs M**** needed me. I go up to the room expecting the worst and there he is Mr M**** sitting up in bed and calls me over and says Merry Christmas Heather, I loved the cookies. I cried like a baby, it was the best Christmas present ever. He did pass a few months after that with his wife by his side. they got him a large hospital bed in the Icu and she climbed in there with him, it was a very sad moment but also very sweet.

Like the guy that had throat cancer, and was having trouble w eating, and I jkept pushing him to try new things. He was very angry at the time, and was very stubborn. He eventually got done his treatment and was eating. On his last day he brought me flowers. Every year on the aniversary he sent me flowers at work. That is just one example.

I have many cards and letters from patients and families saying how I touched their lives when in fact it was the other way around.

So yes I did have a job I loved and I still miss it, but I havea very important job now and wouldnt trade it for the world.

So hang in ther Ariel, Jen and Terri, you guys are awesome
Stormy, thank you so much for sharing - those are wonderful stories!!!! Very heartwarming!

the Woolite spray I bought at Walmart was in the 2.97 range or so. the top pops off and then you can insert it into the rug stick. otherwise it has a standard bugspray type top on it. took me forever to figure out that the spray was also the rugstick refill. *smack me and call me George* moment right there in the carpet care aisle Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) LMAO

Stormy: Nice stories...it brought tears to my eyes. It's nice to know there are some good, caring people out there.

ArielA: People at your workplace definitely make it either a "love it" or "hate it" situation. I have one co-worker I absolutely adore, the other two can leave and I wouldn't care at all. Those two are the laziest people I've ever met! It's frustrating as I have to deal with them all of the time. The students that come in make it all worthwhile though (I work with college kids) - especially when they appreciate the help you give them. And, actually succeed in their higher education goals. I've had several come back with Master's degrees and PHd's and thank me for helping them out when they needed it! It's great.

We went to Disneyworld back in 2001 through the Make A Wish foundation, it was great. We got buttons with Make a wish on them and we got to go to the front of the line every ride and when the characters saw us they made it a point to come right up to us and hug our daughter and sign autgraphs and take pictures. At one point Mickey Mouse saw us and was going on break and turned around and came to my daughter and gave her a big hug, took pictures, autographs and all in the mean time other people were trying to get close to Mickey and the security person would not let them, He said Mickey will be down by the tower at 2:00 pm and made everyone leave. Needless to say my daughter felt special the whole day. It was so awesome. They also have this village that we stayed at and all the food was free and rides and the bunny came and tucked all the kids in at night. Everyone has their own little cottage they stay in. It is BEAUTIFUL 2 bdrm, 2 bath, jucuzzi tub and there was a swimming pool and just all kinds of stuff there. They also had the characters come and eat breakfast in the restaurant there with all the Make a wish kids. You can pm me if you are interested about more
Have a Blast!
Wow! Awesome experience for your daughter! I'm glad she was able to experience it. It's such a wonderful organization!

I used too. Sometimes I still think I do....but week's like this make me want to bang my head into the wall repeatedly. I had the best night ever on Friday night.....everything ran smoothly, we all worked together, and days like that are what keep me going.

Hi there, I'm the consultant for Southern Living at HOME selling the All You subscription for $18. if anyone has any questions about it feel free to email me at marli[at]womanlyexcellence.com. You were asking if it was legit, so here's some info about Southern Living at HOME in case you are not familiar with it. They are a direct sales company based in Alabama (direct sales is like tupperware or avon, where people can be a consultant or representative for the company, do parties/shows and make some extra money). This allows me to stay home with my kids and bring it a little extra income.
The company site is www.southernlivingathome.com and my personal biz site is www.southernlivingathome.com/marlicreeach. You'll find more info about ordering this promo on my blog though: http://www.womanlyexcellence.com/...-back.html.

We offer home decor products as well as some magazines, All You being one of them. Their price for the All You magazine (for 2 years) is only $19.95 but I'm giving everyone who orders it, 10% off making it only $18. (if you order online, the discount won't be reflected b/c the discount is from me not SLAH, so please note that I will change your total).

Sorry if that's too much info! Just wanted to let everyone know more about it! Thanks!

Good for you! You have such a positive, great attitude and you do have it far tougher being a single mom than with a spouse. I don't just mean financially but sometimes it is hard for a girl to work on her own car or make some household repairs. Don't get be wrong I think woman can do things good like men, but men are generally stronger, or have stronger fix it skills. I think that is great that you can have a party for your son with the treats you have gotten deals on. I bet you are a great mom!

I also simply love your idea about complimenting a co-worker everyday. Excellent idea, and a great way to have some friends and allies on your side. Plus maybe your attitude will rub off on others. I am going to try this! Just saying something like, oh what a beautiful blouse you have on today, probably goes a long way!

What is everyone's general opinion of the Kashi products? I didn't like the cereal so much, I guess I am hooked on Chocolate honey bunches of Oats. I didn't like Honey bunches of Oats "Just Bunches" and I thought I would since I love the other. The squirrels will be happy for a few days. I guess I am cereal picky. I like Cheerios, and Honey Nut Cheerios.

I haven't opened my Kashi bars yet, but those look promising. I hope those are tasty! yummy

DH says the go lean cereal tastes like unflavored twigs.
DS says yummy to the honey wheat crackers. I personally like them as well. Not a fan of the 7grain but I know some peeps like it.
We haven't tried the oatmeal yet but have 20 boxes of it downstairs so we will.

I hate CVS RX counter. I have never had an RX filled correctly there. Today is no exception. Takes them 25 min of my lunchbreak to find the RX which was called in 4 days ago, then they fill it for an 18 day supply instead of 30 ($75EEK! ) instead of calling for the approval they needed for the 30. I called the doc office to take care of it. Spent 50 minutes at the counter at lunch so no other errands run. As long as it doesn't start raining again will run out later, many 9/30's to use up.
At CVS found $1 hangtags on curel, bogo diet coke (CVS q) tearpad.
Otherwise good day. very busy at work. DS was so cute hanging this morning. Good coupons in my envie to use. I'm Smilie

Jen2882 is on my favorites list today
Teri-you are very resourceful. And don't let me ever get on your bad side
ariel-can sophie use the elmo PJ's that stormy can't--size 3T, blue with elmo on it, winter flannel like PJ's--they have elastic in feet so no good for us
Stormy-thx for your stories!

OK back to work, just wanted to say hi to my peeps.

Nikayla-sent you one of those campbells forms. funny story-was working away here, picked something up and saw the form. your envie was already down in mailbox. ran outside like chicken without head past DH & DS. They just look at each other, know it involves coupons, and keep swinging away. I caught your envie just in time! Just in case you think it was tampered with, I opened and resealed it
