Anyway, one of them looked all smeared and I couldn't figure out what had happened to it. Then I remembered that my old lady kitty (in my avatar) had been asleep on those pages for a long time ('cause, you know, I left some paper down on a flat surface, so naturally a cat must lie down on it).

I think she must have drooled all over my TQs. Especially since it's the "Fur Fighter" TQs. Maybe they offended her.
laugh out loud That's too funny. My kitties love to lay on things too. We call one of the kitties our "baby gear tester" - anything that we bring in the house, he has to test out. We have pics of it all... kitty in the cribs, kitty in the carseats, kitty in the baby bouncy seat, kitty in the baby swing (yes, in the baby swing), kitty in the strollers, even kitty sitting on the ride on toys. We eat 1/2 the 1st night, send a pie home w my Dad, eat a whole pie for Thanksgiving and finish it off the next day.

Ok here is some mushy stuff again. This is on a scrapbook page a page I did about the recipe and my grandmother

A pinch of this and a dash of that

I totally got teary eyed when reading that - it was wonderful and you have a very nice way with words!

Quote from doublesided :
Nope I"m good. We only needed one and bblueskye sent me like 10. So I'm waiting for them to go on sale again so we can get a backup!
If anyone needs these, I still have a ton of them. I got a few of the monitors at Wags last week (or the week before Confused) when they were free AC - I'm going to call a couple local nursing homes and see if they can use them...

Quote from skynsam :
stormy, that is such a nice piece you wrote I loved when my grandma did baking back in the day for us - fresh donuts and lefsa were my favorites
Now I'm getting nostalgic... my favorite thing that my grandma used to make was Perogis - nothing like perogis with some grilled green onions and a bit of sour cream...

Quote from doublesided :
I'm just glad I could help someone else the way everyone here has helped me! If you see any more printables in the future, send them my way and I'll print for you

I have a LOT of MM to convert tomorrow. Would start tonight but jen isn't around till tomorrow and I"m gonna need some help.

You'll have more to convert after I get off my duff and PM you my codes Wink (seriously, sorry it has taken me so long...)

Stormy I'm so sorry. 4 farkin hrs at the dealership this afternoon then 3 hrs at Chucky Cheese.

MamaRo....where are you?
DM, how did it go a the dealership - have you guys found a car that you're interested in?

Good question - where is MamaRo???

Oh, but *I* do....literally!

Other nifty fillers are Wags brand facial tissue purse packs (4/$1), or, if your store has them, clearanced flower and veggie seeds ($0.14 at my store), clearanced mini-hilighters
($0.10 to $0.25), and clearanced pencils (as low as a nickel!).

Also, the past couple weeks I have thrown in a Crest Pro-Health 500ml ($4.49) as it generates a $4.50 RR all on its own...

Can you tell I've done this a few times recently?

Don't even ASK how many bottles of Robitussin we have...and the deal returns next week (albeit not quite as slick, but still a money maker).

INAA
Thanks for listing some fillers for us! What is the deal next week with the robitussin??? (Not that I don't already have a TON of it)...

Alli:
I have used it. Ate too much fat in one meal one day. Wow. Let's just say, the toilet looked like I had run some Slim Jim's thru a blender.

A good friend, who gains easily, but can never lose, uses it. She has had very good results with it. She is very careful with what she eats, so no troubles of oil discharge for her. She actually just asked me Friday night if I had any coupons for it as she is out, so that is what prompted me to look online for their cpns again.
Thanks for posting Oranges! I've always been on the thin side and in good shape, but after 2 kids in under 2 years, I've got 30 lbs that I really want to lose and I just don't have the time to get to the gym (although I really miss working out - I'm one of those odd people who really likes going to the gym). I've never had to diet or lose weight before, and I'm discovering that I'm not at all good at it. Wink I've just been wondering what other options are out there to help me jump start... I know I'll have more time to work out, etc, in a couple years, but I just don't want to wait that long to lose the weight. I'm not sure if Alli would be a good idea for me though b/c I'm not so good at watching what I eat - if I was, then I guess I wouldn't need it Stick Out Tongue

Hey--- The Crest MW is on "mega-saver" -- their term for a sale that goes the whole month-- for $4.49. But it may not have been marked at your store. If you are in doubt, you can always ask a cashier to price-check something. The correct item will ring up at $4.49.

And, yeah, you may find different WAGs have slightly different "regular" prices on things, though the sales should be national-- or nearly so. I've heard the Bay Area in CA doesn't get all the same deals the rest of the country does. (Doesn't really seem fair since COL is so high there anyway.)
Thanks for posting the WAGs info - it is always helpful when the Waggers keep us in the loop here. I've got a ton of RR from Crest MW and Robi that I need to roll this week. My goal is GCs and stamps...

And yes, the COL is crazy high here - totally sux!!!

Ok you guys - I'm a total Reese's Peanut Butter freak - ok, just peanut butter out of the jar is quite tasty to me.... *snip*
I love PB as well... when I was PG the first time, one of my main cravings was peanut butter on apple slices. That's actually how I knew I was PG the 2nd time. I was sitting around thinking, "PB on an apple sounds soooo good right now - uh, oh" Yep, tested and I was PG...

Quote from calliebritt :
No Jewel or Albertsons here, but this actually works out better if you have Wags instead.

Pay $10 for 4 shampoos AND 1 hair color get back $10....so I got bonus of hair color for free versus using bogo on bogo shampoo where I only get 4 shampoos free.
BUT the bogo on bogo would be free out the door and the $10 has to be spent next time... but I can do that! especially for all of that free.
huh?? Confused you lost me on that one. Can someone break it down "barney style"?

Oh and some of the Jergens (age defying and smoothing I think) are scaning .90, right next to them are pamplets w/ $1 off coupons
I actually tried some of the Jergens (skin smoothing) lotion the other day - holy cow - I LOVE the smell of that stuff!!!

Yes, CVS does carry it - the starter pack is about $60. I only know that cause I was selected to do the Alli houseparty and rec'd a coupon for a free starter kit - up to $60! Sweet! Actually, there might be a 90-pk smaller package that is around $45.
Giant has the 90 ct on sale this week for $55.65

Finally caught up on all threads!!! Smilie

I did some more diaper runs today and got enough pampers pts for the trike!!! Phew. BTW, shipping for the Kettler Jumbo trike is $23.xx, in case anyone is wondering. I can't wait for it to get here. My 2.5 yo is going to heart it.

I just went though my inserts for the week, and there really isn't much that I'm excited about. I clipped the $1/1 hefty Q and some Qs for others, but not much that I'm going to use. Anyone looking for anything from this week???

Kleenex tearpad B2G1 free is an "01" (meaning it will autoadjust) 36000 (Kimberly Clark)
Kotex is a black peelie on the Kotex at Kmart for free pantyliners wyb pads, works the same as the Kleenex

PM me for more specfics Wink
Are you sure about that? Dontknow

"01" usually signifies "cashier intervention" in this case, so the cashier can enter in the price of the free item. The Qs that autoadjust usually end in "14" (b1g1) or "16" (b2g1).

We've migrated to KM talk now, which is different than T with the BOGO autoadjustment.

EEK! Sorry you have such allergies! It's tough to find anywhere that don't have nuts in their kitchen to "contaminate" your meal.

Oh, wow! That's a good percentage off! I'm guessing I'll need to swing by a CVS or two as well later on today. I don't really go to CVS much (I don't have a card, is it worth it to have one?) and wouldn't know where to find the clearance items. Are they in their respective areas on an endcap or something like that? Thanks.

I vaguely remember Bay Area COL-- lived in SV from 92-97, but I was in school and not paying most of my own bills. It's so beautiful there, though-- it almost makes up for the $$$.

And if I was pg everytime I wanted to eat PB on apples, I'd be pg all the time. laugh out loud

Ok here is some mushy stuff again. This is on a scrapbook page a page I did about the recipe and my grandmother

A pinch of this and a dash of that

This was how my Grandmother cooked. There was no recipe; there wasnt a need for one. She made this recipe every year at the holidays. It was tried and true. She knew it by heart, passed down from generation to generation. There were no luxuries, the crust made by hand, rolled to perfection. The eggs whites whipped into beautiful stiff peaks. The flour sifted and gently blended. The spices pulled from a handmade spice rack. The kitchen filled with the aroma of sweet cinnamon and pumpkin. While the pie was cooking, the dishes were hand washed and dried. Then and only then would she sit, and relax.

Gone are those days. Now you can buy pies in the store already made. But you know what is missing in those pies? A pinch of this and a dash of that. The pinch of a grandmothers legacy and a dash of a grandmothers love.

Even though my grandmother is gone, her spirit is with us. It is born in the mess of the kitchen. Continued in the children standing on a kitchen chair and helping, and enjoyed in a slice of heavenly pumpkin pie.

Weeping Weeping

What a wonderful story.... and I agree with everyone, you really have a way with words...

I do this with my granddaugher, and I hope she has the sweetest memories of me doing this with her when I'm gone, like you do of your grandmother...

My business kitchen is 100 % nut free.... so many children are allergic that I want to assure the mothers that there child's bday cake will not make them ill... If I'm ever back your way again, I will have to come bring you a cake... nut free...

So I had my garage sale this Saturday... as well as had Trang's SIL and some of her friends over on Friday night to get the best deals....

I must say that her family and friends were all so nice and it was my great pleasure in getting to meet them all... Thank you Trang for letting me have that honor... hug

I have to say that if I made this much money every month or two, I could make this my first job and my decorating a second job... I

I'm so pleased that I know I can go to Disneyland and not worry about scrimping on stuff so that we can all have a ton of fun..

I hope you all don't mind that I put up what I made..... but it's just to exciting not to share with all of you... since it would have never been if it wasn't for all of you.....

Here we go.....

Two

Thousand and Nine Hundred Dollars... yuppers... $2900 smackers... and I still have things on hold for a couple of neighbours that will bring me in another $300... as well as I just got an email from someone who came to it because of my Craigs Listing and she regrets not buying more diapers and wants to pick up another 8 packs as well as a bunch more wipes.... So that will be another $56 dollars...

It was pouring rain out on Saturday.. OMG... buckets of it.. the forecast had been for cloudy on Saturday and rain on Sunday.. so I cancelled it for Sunday due to the forecast... and just had it on Saturday... so rain rain.. wake up this afternoon, hey me and my SIL did an all nighter on Friday and then worked it all day Sat.. I was tired... anyway what do I wake up too... Freakin Sunshine... oh man I was pi$$ed.... but not for long... I would have been way to tired to do it 2 days anyway...

Update on my SIL - Friday day he was in total screaming pain.. said not a chance in hell he was going to Disneyland... I calmed him down, he had a hot bath, took his meds, layed on his massage chair and he came out to the driveway around 9 or so, just after Trangs family came.... anyway that got his adrenaline going I guess, and the steriods helped as well... but after they and some of the neighbours left, he went in and got dressed and was going gung ho on restocking everything, arranging things, making more space, etc... I mean we really had to restock alot... Trangs family wiped us out of ALOT... laugh out loud laugh out loud
So he knows that I have to go to the kitchen to finish up a cake for delivery Sat morning and he says, no problem go finish it, come back and we will trade off sleeping in the driveway... yes, we had to do that.... not going to let anyone take my stuff...

So I finish it off, come home and he's still arranging, and it starts to dribble out, I'm thinking crap... no don't rain... he doesn't want to take any chances, so he gets me to grab a bunch of my free glad trash bags, we cut them down the seam, cover up our precious cargo on the tables, it is now 6am... he comes in the house and sits on the couch for about an hour and I'm outside, guarding it all...

Well people start showing up at 7am as there is another garage sale going on across the street... tell them to go away... as it is now pouring out and I have to drive over to my brothers to grab his tents so we don't get soaked all day... I go grab those, we put them up and by now it's 8:30.. our sale was to start at 9:30am.... so we decide to start selling then.. it was non stop until 3:30 and then it really starting pouring down, so we decided that was enough, plus we were so tired....

Okay to the point of that whole story... sorry.....

I went in after I had put it all way, and wanted to say thanks to all my family that helped and then go in and see my SIL he is now finally laying down after 34 hours of non stop working... I go in and give him a big hug and say I love you so much and thank you so much for helping, but I'm so worried that you are going to pay for this tonight with much more pain... he hugs me and says "thank you - for one for telling me you love me as it's more than my own mom will say, and thank you for making me feel like a person for the first time in a year, and thank you for making me feel useful and needed for the first time in a year... I was crying like a baby after the first thank you.....

Today he got up, cleaned their house, went out and bought a new light fixture for their kitchen and hung that up and then took my daughter and there little girl out for a nice dinner... they did ask me, but I'm still to tired...

I only hope that this feeling will continue for him so he has a great time on our trip to Disneyland...

So I'm so darn HAPPY right now...Big hug to you all.... and Trang.... you're the best... and funny to boot... heart

As usual, sorry for the long post....

Two Thousand and Nine Hundred Dollars...

Your story about your SIL is very touching. Made me Crying2. He is lucky to have such a guardian angel as you. Angel Not

I have to stop the Crying now and go to bed. Have to get up in less than 4 hours...
