I ran in to WAG"s tonight and picked up 2 Reach flosses and was using a 4.50 crest RR, the cashier "informs" me that because I'm using a RR a new one will NOT print Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) I said yes it should and she instisted it would not shake head I was like ok whatever just scan it, well ya know it takes a few sec. for the RR to pop out so as my reciept is printing she goes "see I told you" then out it comes LMAO I just took it from her and laughed as I walked out.

I've seen some stores that have index card boxes full of people's licenses and CC's etc. They are kept secure in the cash office.

That is what all the managers and cashiers have been trained to believe. I have had two managers now tell me that it is part of their training on RR's that you won't get one if you spend one. Many, many cashiers have told me this, and they are shocked when an RR prints. I think they have seen people try to roll them, and not get a new RR as well. I wish Walgreen's would properly train their people.

The manager the other day told me the cat company told him that an RR won't print when you use one, when my $2 RR did not print for Pepsi. After much insistence on my part, we rang the soda on another register and my RR printed. He was shocked! The cashier whose register he took over for this was shocked to, because she had to add her opinion when we came to her register that I won't get one, because I am using one. She said since I used a $10 RR I wasn't really spending the money like the ad said I had to. He said to me, see she has been trained the same way. I said see I told you after it printed!

However all that being said, I do have a Walgreen's that I don't know how they did it, that will not print an RR if you use an RR to pay from another product. The manager at that store says it has always been that way, I said no your store is different than the others. She said well that is because the other stores are doing it wrong it is a glitch that has been fixed. She proved it to me, by re-ringing my order without the RR's (I has used Scrubbing Bubbles RR's to buy Robi and other items and didn't get my new RR). I got the same song and dance of no reward if you use a reward. I said that isn't right, however, she was right when she re-rang my order without the RR on the same register, my new RR printed. She said I told you, and I was shocked! I won't go to that store anymore to spent RR's on items that produce RR's. And it wasn't just a fluke, my husband also had an order using RR's to buy a different product that should product an RR and didn't get his either.

So if they tell you you won't get an RR if you spend an RR they may have very well been trained this way.

God I hope so! Karma baby! Yeah on your last part that is what my husband wanted to do, find the owner of the Wallet himself. He said I hope that the store contacts the owner a few times!

Hi there many as stations here in Atlanta are out of all but 87 gas... many have none. My politician neighbor/friend says we all need to gas up in the whee hours of the morning to avoid rage here.EEK! The crime is getting worse here too. At least it is cool in the evenings now. We can air the house out at night and save on ac bills too!bounce By popular demand I am posting a photo of dbunny. He is so sweet and litter box trained.He is a smoocher and gives kisses a lot. He rarely comes to his name. He always comes when we say "bunny treat!",so the kids want to change his name to that! He is a european "mutt" rabbit per the vet. We think he has some Rex rabbit in him.He thinks he is a dog.. our 17.5 yr young ddoggie thinks he is human ,and our dfosterd's think there is a money tree in our yard! Everyone but me thinks I am the maid.Frown Wow we are a dysfunctional family! You may know that even with rabbits there are alpha( leader) and omega (follower) rabbits. The alpha bunny gets groomed by all the omega rabbits. What do you think the first thing our ddoggie did when he met our dbunny? He licked/kissed him! Therefore dbunny thought he was the alpha! He rules our ddog. Heis about 6 lbs.. ddoggie is about 65 lbs.! We have to send photos of them with the kids to school so folks believe this! I am sorry about everyone's stress adn hope that this made you smile even if only for a minute. We were not rabbit people and knew nothing aobut rabbits when we rescued/bought him. A man at the pet store was purchasing him for $20 for snake food!shake head We offered him double and got on rabbit.org for info that night. We have learned a lot.. still are.. we are blessed to have him! He has a lot of personality and thumps his back left foot if mad! He has only done it about 4 times in 4.5 years. It is loud! He got mad a few times at dh when he put him back in his area.He has never thumped me . The kids say that is because he knows I am the cook! We are blessed to have enough room here to allow him a room..yeah.. he is spoiled! He has all sorts of toys and cat tunnels/towers too. We call them his condos! Hugs! Barb.... Problem number one....uhm just b/c you turn it into gs doesn't mean someone isn't still going to steal it. We fired a manager for stealing $8 out of a wallet b/c he needed gas money. We have had stuff straight up dissapear out of lost and found.

As far as contacting people.....do you know how many people are not listed, don't have home phone numbers, etc....????

At any given time we have 3-4 wallets, 15 cc's, etc.... in our lost and found. All of them with either no i.d. or unable to find contact information. And We might try to call information for their info, but if we tried to track down every single person that lost a wallet, purse, cc....well we wouldnt have time to run our business.

Oh, and at most places after 30 days all lost and found is to be disposed of.....one time we had a wallet turned in, manager stuck it back, person called, manager said nope, didn't find it. He was going on the after 30 days it would be disposed of theory and he would just take the money then. Thankfully someone remembered they had seen it and the manager was let go.

Oh and to make you all feel better when we dispose of lost and found we make sure all cc's id'd etc...are shredded. Do you know what most of my employee's do when they find purses etc?? they just set it guest service. I had laid into them on more than one occasion for this.

Looks like i'm the one who actually knows everything this time Smilie

My husband agrees completely with your thinking! That is pretty much what he was saying. This is why he wanted to try to find the person himself. That is a shame employees would take from the wallet like he thought could happen and like you say certainly has happened!

I have always worked in the office, so never in an environment where a lost wallet was turned in. On the other hand my husband has worked in fast food and retail when he was young, so he has seen the kind of things you talk about.

But of course it was turn in the wallet, track down the owner myself or leave it in a crowded parking lot where someone might just keep all the cash anyway. I just turned it in, so I figured at least the owner has a fighting chance to get it back. Now I can only hope the store employees are also honest and the wallet has decent contact information or the store gets a call from the owner right away. I guess all and all you are right you can't control the actions of others you can only do the right thing yourself.

I learned some fabulous things tonight!!!

So I had a crappy *ss day. Screwed up my bank acct...told you it didn't look right double!! lol So I ended up taking like a 3 hour nap b/c i was upset with myself and didn't want to deal with it lol.

So I woke up and dh was hungry. Uhmmm so food isn't really an sd i've mastered yet...got a ton of hba, but we always seem to run out of stuff food wise. Got a ton of cereal but no milk lol. So I left my house with $8.00 in cash and a 4.50 rr....i refused to use my debit card b/c I haven't actually figured out how much damage has been done to my bank acct.

first stop the grocery store. I was kind of nervous b/c the tgif was 4 for $10 there and i've never used a coupon over the amt of the item there.

I got:
2 glade scented oil warmers (free peelies)
4 tgif ( 4 3.00 q's)
bananas ($1 fresh fruit q)
a 12 pack of 7 up ($2 off lemon lime soda)
a 2l of pepsi ($1 any cola q)

uhmmmm my total was -.09....they didn't know what to do. I didn't know what to do. I thought I would be at like $1.00 so don't know what went wrong there but they ended up giving me the .09. I got 2 $2 catalina's for the glade back! so I made 4.09 lol

Went to walgreen's
Got a 2l of coke
pringles
bread
milk

used 4.50 rr so paid 1.03 oop

Went to gas station to get cigarettes.....the first gas station the lady was a moron and refused to let me use my coupons. Went to the 2nd gas station and they let me use them.

I normally spend more than $6 on two packs of cigarettes alone, so I'm really proud of myself!!!

so any schnucks shoppers here.....their registers rawk!!! Oh and did i mention they were super nice about it and insisted on giving me the .09.

Sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel you did the wrong thing, it's jsut I have learned first hand how dishonest people can be. I have fired numerous people for stealing lost and found. It's kind of sad. Oh and we used to give lost and found to goodwill after 3 months...not anymore. I've been told that donations are pretty much a free for all for employee's. isn't that sad??

Oh and if you ever lose your cell phone, please please call it in as lost or stolen right away. Our old janitors would use phones found to make very expensive phone calls to mexico. So people would wake up to find that within 12 hours they had incurred hundreds of dollars in phone calls, because they hadnt called it in b/c they might find it. you can always call and get it reversed.

I don't care for the Goodwill, because they are not a non for profit organization. I do donate some things to them, but I try to find different organizations to give to, because of that fact. Plus the stuff in their stores is so over-priced for used items, I think how does that help the less fortunate. I know people of all wage ranges shop there, but a lot of the lower income families try to put clothing on their children's back from that store. I think they would be better off buying clearance from Target. Our goodwill sells things they get/buy from Target for more money than target last sold it for.

Darn the ponds site is down and I am up late, because I fell down the last two basement steps yesterday and hurt my ankle bad. Oh that was so painful one of those things I will not forget soon let me tell you, I thought I broke it at first. I am taking a few days off and of light duty to recover, and I'm getting nothing done! I should at least read the news, list something to sell on ebay or clean or something more productive.
