$6.49 here is WA State. Love these things. Yes they are heavier, but the are super tough. I store all our camping gear in these.

TU!

I am in Olympia so it was at the Tumwater store over a month ago. Back to $8.99 each. Not slick but still a decent price for a good bin.

Are these the same as the ones at Home Depot or a different manufacturer?

We have several of these and I do like them. I agree with the previous posters that they are heavy. I use them to store a Lionel train collection, so they can hold a ton of weight. It's a good workout carrying them around.

very good quality. and when the top closes you know its closed. and doesnt easily come off. very strong snap click feel when you close the lid. Plastic is sturdy and you can easily see how superior it is to those $5 sterilites from target.

Near straight wall design will raise production costs greatly due to mold construction and speed restrictions which will in turn raise piece price.

Taper is better for production and getting parts out of the molds.
Not to mention that straight-wall containers wouldn't be able to be nested, so distribution would be much more expensive.

The tops are cracking for me but I'm not sure if someone has been pushing on the top of the bins.
