90 day warranty. Would be all over it if it was 1 year.

specs are same except that the target one has metal legs with silver finish. this one has plastic (black) legs.

Wouldn't your credit card extend that to more than a year?

Price seems good, but I have no clue about the TCL brand. Is TCL any good?

For the price you really can't beat the quality. I have this TV and I absolutely love it. Roku integration is flawless and it has a great picture for a budget TV.

Bought the Target version of this unit around Black Friday for a replacement bedroom tv, haven't had it for that long but the picture quality and functionality has been great for the price!

I bought the BF target deal as my third TCL. I must say I have been proud of the two previous two 32" I bought. but this 55" I've had to press the reset button on the back of the TV about twice a week. the tv freezes no buttons work, volume quits and that's the only fix I found this far

I got the one from Target from the last FP deal, and love it. It doesn't have HDR, but plays 4K movies from a hard drive, through the Roku player, as long as only 1 audio stream. when I got it I had Direct TV, because my ISP didn't offer but 10MB/s, but once I got this the ISP went up to 60MB/s, and went to streaming. Love the TV though. The speakers are better than your regular TV speakers, but I use my surround instead of them since I have one.

I've had the 1080p version for a couple years now and its been a very good TV for its price. Works really well with my media center pc and ps4, and I use the roku features constantly. It feels strange going back to a different type of "smart" tv because the roku portion is married to the TV really well.

Viewing angles are really good, remote control is really easy, built-in wifi is strong and steady, user interface is pretty snappy, TV doesn't wobble or anything, no dead pixels, etc. I'd buy TCL again, especially for this price. Refurbished might not be worth it, though, when their new models cost so little. At least you can return it pretty easily if it screws up.

Also, its probably worth getting a cheap squaretrade plan after the fact.
