Does anyone buy stocks in the companies they hate? If so, which ones? What do you think of this investment strategy?

Only Apple device I have is an old iPod that I won years ago. Haven't used it since we got the Sonos setup for the house, used to use it while doing housework.
9 splits later and it's was only worth 750 million dollars when I sold it in 2005. WTF!

Sold it about a year later and more than doubled my money.

second: i don't get people who have passionate feelings about large companies. if you dig deep enough in any business of even a medium size, you're going to find things you like and things you don't.
i own a lot of mutual/index funds, so i likely own stock in business whose products/services i dislike, but i couldn't care less as long as they keep making me money.
