Got a Harbor Freight email for "blowout sale" for Fri-Sun, Jan 13-15.

torque wrenches for $10 without coupon.
looks like this excludes the 3/4 one.

1/4: http://www.harborfreight.com/14-i...61277.html
3/8: http://www.harborfreight.com/3-8-...h-807.html
1/2: http://www.harborfreight.com/1-2-...62431.html

I thought you could use a coupon until I saw the fine print excluding this from coupon use. Of course YMMV.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

That is not smart at all. A torque wrench should be returned to its lowest setting after use. Otherwise, the tension on the spring will deteriorate at a greater rate. Then the torque will become extremely unreliable.
They have the lifetime warranty for torque wrenches.
I actually used their lifetime warranty after 4 yrs of purchase , no question asked.
I just returned a broken 1/2 drive and got a new one.
I did not know this, I will loosen mine when I get home, thanks for the tip!

I don't think I could ever trust a HFD click torque wrench. some items aren't worth skimping on, this is one of them.

I leave the 1/2 drive in the tool box set to 88 for torquing car lugs.
Initially I was going to say to unload it in general, but I guess not everything is that straightforward. I found this, which seems handy:

I have heard to always leave a little bit of compression on the spring while in storage. That being said, meh, it's not like we're splitting atoms or using a laser for brain surgery. It's a $10 wrench after all.
