Should I buy tix for Disneyland ahead of travel?

As in, is there an admittance limit?
I'm traveling to Anaheim for a trade show in a couple weeks and DW and the kids will be along afterward to go to Disney. We've been to Disneyworld twice, and Disney Shanghai once but man Disneyland is motherfarking expensive! I'd like to not buy the tickets ahead of time but will do so if there's a possibility that they might be "sold out" ahead of time.

Sams's or Costco may have something similar. I used to be a SAm's member but never paid attention to any GC's they might have sold.
Park was busy on Thursday, not so much on Friday (raining) and again busy on Saturday (no rain but rather cold and grey). I was surprised how small it was (compared to the other parks I've been to), which may have contributed to the sense of crowds.
