It's $50 more for a 17.3. Depends on if you want a big screen or not.

And in the grand scheme of things this is a very good price for the spec. 1050 is about the same performance level as a 965m with lower power consumption, and the i5 quad beats all but the i7 quad.
You can use VIPFEB25NB to get this down to $660
I don't find touchscreens to be very useful on laptops, where by default I'll be using a mouse/pad 99% of the time anyways.
That and adding fingerprints to the laptop screen would get annoying.

Not bad, not bad. Not as good as the last sale on the 15t, but it's still good for people who want a 17" laptop with an IPS display. The similar Dell and Acer GTX 1050 laptops both have 4GB of VRAM but a 15.6" TN panel display for $100 more. For light gaming it's good.

50? That deal originally started at 600, and if you got it on EPP you could get it for like 540. They added an additional 50 bucks and set it to 650 after a day (probably because of how popular the deal got). This is definitely nowhere near as slick.

These are some pretty good specs for a laptop, honestly. Yeah there's no touch screen but this will handle all of your basic needs no problem. Unless that problem is not having a touch screen, of course.

I don't need a touch screen, that's what we have mice for. Mice literally require a turn of the wrist. I understand multitouch can be useful but trackpads cover that as well.
