PSA - beer cans (and some sode cans)

Ordered some soda online and it had weird looking hard plastic caps for the six pack holder. I tried removing a can, DH tried too and no luck. Had to watch a video about them to learn the trick. Embarrassment

Evidently these are rigid so they don't have to use shrink wrap on the pallets when they ship the cans, they're made from recycled plastic.

I hadn't noticed. They've been around for a while and I've never had a problem using them.

They are also reusable, which is a bonus.

I can't even count the number of times I have pulled a beer out of one of those plastic ring type holders and thought "Gee, I really don't need another beer. I wish I could put it back."

Maybe it's the size of the cans that are the problem, they're short little 8 ounce cans and I'm still struggling to get the last few cans out of the holder. Dontknow

Those things look like the can lids we use for our dog's canned food. Interesting. I wonder if you could break off all six of those from the packs and use them for that purpose after drinking the soda/beer from them.
