That's kinda unfortunate imo. Some people still use older-gen game consoles with their TVs and would have no way of connecting them now.

I got this TV from Walmart at the same price when it was posted here last time. I am in love with the TV.

HDMI converter, just like the optical out I had to buy for my ks8000 and ancient stereo

You can but requires an HDMI converter. So a multimultia switch and a converter (depending on how many old systems you have) will have you setup nice.

2x the price, may be 2x better. KS8500 not less than $1000

picked up the 6300 from target with a rain check last week and love it! coming from a nice Sony internet TV with 1080p this was a huge upgrade in picture quality and sound. Not perfect but still a great set at $500.

Grabbed this for $425 at target with cartwheel and red car. Still an incredible tv at this price. 4k video from YouTube looks stunning on it. Had to make some minor tweeks to correct soap opera effect but no issues since then with that.

My model was actually 6300, but I think overall the same specs. Also believe it's actually 60 MHz

I got the 6300 for $499 with no sales tax. From my understanding it's the same tv but the 6290 doesn't have Bluetooth or the same smart remote. That being said for the price you can't beat it. I have this baby in my bedroom and I love it. Not as good as my JS8500 Samsung in the living room but $1500 less than what I paid so I am a happy camper. Tv needs to be calibrated though. Makes a world of a difference
