Target stores have the TCL 55" 4k Ultra HD 2160p 120Hz Roku Smart LED TV - Black (55US5800) on sale for $399. There is a cartwheel coupon for 10% off TV's valid for the next 6 days.

http://www.target.com/p/-/A-50480469

$399- (10% $40) = $360 or $342 with redcard 5% discount.

Valid for in-store only - since cartwheel can only be applied in store. Do not order for pick up, cartwheel cannot be applied to pick up orders. Must buy in store.

Check inventory and in store pricing here: http://brickseek.com/target-inven...08-09-0803

Cartwheel coupon: https://cartwheel.target.com/o/te...s/-/101044

Rtings review: http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/tcl/us5800

This matches several previous prices for this TV over the last few months - it had been back up to $500 since mid-December.

Overall review summary is: this is a good tv for the price, has a great picture and the built in roku is a nice feature. Most everyone from the numerous previous deals seems to have found the picture quality quite good except for some viewers in standard def which may be improved via settings. At this price point, you will likely not find a widely available 4k TV that beats this deal.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I've had this TV since November, and it has been absolutely fantastic. The Roku interface is very fast, which makes using this TV much more enjoyable than other TVs with proprietary smart OSes. The picture is beautiful, and 55" is a great size.

I got the SquareTrade 4 year warranty as padded protection, in case it dies prematurely.
This tv has a tuner - an ATSC tuner is included in the specs. Just add an antenna. You can also plug in a 16gb+ USB stick and pause live tv via the tuner (no DVR capabilities just pause). That feature is pretty unique to this tv.
I personally would do the 6290 over this at that price, that is an excellent price for the Samsung.

They won't let you add cartwheel at pickup for online orders. It is priced the same in store, they will likely cancel your online order and place in store to use cartwheel but they may give you a hard time depending on your store.

Thanks for the review I am on my way to pick one up now! I have a 3 or 4 year old TCL 1080p tv that has a fantastic picture quality - this should be a nice upgrade.

Does the menu allow manual antenna channel tuning? That is, can you scan for channels, and manually add one channel at a time after pointing the antenna in a different direction without wiping out the channels you added in the scan? Does it have a signal strength meter when tuning one channel at a time so I can move the antenna around until I get enough signal strength for the channel to come in?

Just solely based off RTINGS.com review, I would get the Samsung.

I haven't researched too deep into either TV outside of a couple of reviews, because I don't plan on buying either, so take my opinion with whatever amount of salt you prefer.

My understanding is that this TV does not have a tuner and is really just a monitor. If that's accurate, it will not be able to tune any channels from an antenna, let alone search for them or add them manually. You should do some research to be sure that it can do what you need before buying.

Target's description indicates it has a tuner:

isn't a built-in tuner mandatory for TV by current regulations? per FTC
"By March 1, 2007 all televisions regardless of screen size, and all interface devices that include a tuner (VCR, DVD player/recorder, DVR) must include a built-in ATSC DTV tuner."

great tv. have been using it since last july. just two things to note. It's only native 60hz and uses it's on stuff to make up the 120. It has a game mode that's pretty good for action games. The roku part is amazing. The remote did die on me and I had to contact tlc for a replacement because not even the one i bought from amazon worked on it.
