how was the food? any interesting sights? c'mon, spill it.
Saw an interesting temple. Rode a bus that was packed well beyond capacity (ok, that was every bus ride). Went on a hike. Talked to customers & didn't get fired (yet).
Everyone seemed to speak at least a little english. Though the girl at the Auntie Anne's in the mall tried to sign the cost to me with some weird signal that looked like sign language. I was looking at her like she was crazy before the other dude there told me how much it was. The 101 building is pretty cool (fastest elevator in the world...37 seconds to the 80-something floor).
Food was ok, but I mostly ate American food so I guess that doesn't really count

the 101 bldg...is that the tallest building out there?
they have americans living/working there. there's an area where the americans live with an american school. i don't know too much about it but i know a family whose husband was contracted out there by taiwan to work on the mass transit system. they lived out there for about 5 years.
