Anybody have experience with these vs. the Klipsch RB-10? If so, which ones are better?

Ignorant question. Would something like these 2 speakers and a subwoofer with receiver be better than the Klipsch rb-20 soundbar and subwoofer?

Definitely yes. Soundbars are never your best choice for sound quality.

I haven't compared the two, but would guess the Pioneer to be superior. Larger speaker, famed designer, better frequency specs. Plus, Klipsch have horns which make for a brighter sound. Good for movies, can be harsh and trying for music. Pioneer will be better all around unless you find you like the horn sound.

I realize this is probably an ignorant question (again) - Is a receiver needed on this? looks like speakers can connect direct to this subwoofer. I assume a receiver is needed but the connections make me question.
