I called Wells Fargo to confirm the deal. My wife was envious when I got a fat check from the previous deal.
I showed my sympathy by calling to confirm the deal is still around. They renewaled it.

No reason to get stuck with some eco-box. Do it right at a $25000 deposit for a $250k car. Cool
Well, when the pulling starts it is usually soft, and then it gradually gets hard as the pulling continues. Then once you have "credited" all over it gets soft again and that is when the pulling stops.
Can confirm that's the deal breaker for you.

Initial depot by credit card is considered cash advance or purchase?
Could someone confirm?
Or it is different by credit card issuer?

I used my chase credit card and the transaction was considered a purchase. Not sure about other cc.

Side note I already did this deal I got the money and closed the account.
I literally went to a dollar store and told the cashier what I was doing and how they can get this deal to and we did 10 transactions for 10, 1 dollar items. To not be rude I move out of the line any time a new customer showed up to check out. I got the money like a week later.

I thought u need to hv the account open for at least 3-6 months? Did u get any penalty closing the account early?

You can call Wells Fargo to find out.

Is there any way to get this with my expired permit or my passport?
I don't know. You can try asking Wells Fargo.

I got an Email saying conditionally approved and blah blah stuff, should I wait or go to bank with reference number to deposit cash?
Conditionally approved is not the same thing as approved, or that your account is open. Chances are you'll just waste your time going into the branch. Is there anything preventing you from waiting a few days?

Read the wiki. There is no penalty for closing the account at any time.

Nope I could wait, was just confirming in order to hasten the process as the bank is just a mile from my home. I'll wait and thanks for information

I went to the Wells Fargo branch (it took 2 hours bc I got lost in nyc) and they said no, online you can only use a valid state ID or license. They said I could open the account there but then I wouldn't get the $250 (they also claimed that it was a targeted offer even online and there was no possible way anyone can get this without being targeted).

Take their 250 and run, as I did last month. If you're anti Wells Fargo then this deal should be all the more reason to proceed with the offer.

Quote from turok1134 :
You're absolutely right, so if I can take a small chunk of change out of their pocket and just dip, then I'm just getting even.

My guess is they're using this to inflate their customer count to their shareholders. Would be funny if someone found a way to create a bunch of what we'll call "fake" customers to bilk this company from their $250. Someone should actually do this, and see if they get the same kind of justice that Wells Fargo received when they defrauded people. /rant

I'm not sure why they give some people conditional approval. I had the same happen to me and was not able to figure out why

It did not approve me for the account... didn't see any explanation in comments about this... I have under 500 credit score due to open BK. Could this be why I was not approved?

Edit: fixed spelling

They're supposed to send you a letter in the mail regarding the decline. Let us know what it says.

I signed up online and received an E-mail the next day stating "At this time, we are unable to complete your application and must refer you to your nearest Wells Fargo branch to open the account."

So I went into a branch and was able to open the account, get a debit card, and deposit my $25. I didn't even think to ask when I was in the branch if I would still qualify for the $250. I called Wells Fargo and they said I should still be on track for the $250 and to call them if I don't receive it within the allotted time period after I completed my ten transactions. We'll see.

"Account maintenance fees are waived for first 64 days (per WF customer service response to other SD members)."

Are you sure this will happen, i don't see this in the fine print anywhere
