I called Wells Fargo to confirm the deal. My wife was envious when I got a fat check from the previous deal.
I showed my sympathy by calling to confirm the deal is still around. They renewaled it.

ya for the shyster!
Some haven't filled out any paperwork but have received the $250. I called and they said I need to fill it out? Does anyone have other data points?

This can't be coincidence. Could this be another Wells Fargo scandal, or is it just terrible taste on the part of Wells Fargo by using a random subdomain on an even more random domain name? I have used gmail since 2004 and have never received a Wells Fargo phishing attempt. I can't wait to close this account. Going to the bank tomorrow to cash out, not going to wait for ACH trial deposits.
p.s. I did not need to fill out any paperwork. I actually received the paperwork the day the bonus posted to my account.
Pro tip: if you're waiting on the bonus to show up and you plan to transfer the balance out to a different bank account, you should add your non-wells fargo account now because the trial deposit procedure takes 2-3 additional business days. Although if this theory of mine is true, then for sure just cash out at a branch.
TL DR version: Pretty sure but could be wrong, but I might have just broke national news. New Wells Fargo scandal, they've been hacked (i.e. a malicious user has gained access to private data such as email addresses and more). Be on the lookout for phishing emails made to look like they're from Wells Fargo.
THANKS OP!
Edit: I spent more time staring at the account waiting for it to post than actually setting up the account LOL
Another note, I got the tax form in the mail but never sent it in and still go the 250.
I received the $250 without sending in paperwork. The account is now closed.

I think I'll be keeping the account. Not too happy with my current one.
