I called Wells Fargo to confirm the deal. My wife was envious when I got a fat check from the previous deal.
I showed my sympathy by calling to confirm the deal is still around. They renewaled it.

Many of us did NOTHING but Amazon Micro transactions. My wife and I both bought 10 Amazon egift cards with debit using part of the $25 deposits in each account. Waited a few days and got our bonuses...
... so they have my SSN (provided during application process, of course), but they don't reeeaaallllly have my SSN. Later paragraph said I could take care of this in any branch. Went to branch, showed them the above message, and all I got were dumb looks and blank stares, then pointed back to online CS.
BTW, they also have my mortgage, and over the years, I've had a dozen other mortgages, checking, and savings accounts with them... but dropped them like a hot rock over a pretty significant event a little over 5 years ago. (I've been trying to NOT be their mortgage customer, but every time we buy a house... several in past few years... WF swoops in and buys it.)
Heck... just this morning, they emailed me a "billpay reminder"... I don't have billpay set up, and this is my only account besides mortgage. Idiots, all around. As was always the plan, as soon as I get the bonus, this account gets closed.

If it was a checking account, then yes.
Was a new customer checking offer.
Now to transfer to my actual bank and close the account. Probably the easiest $250 ive ever made.
