BH Photo just dropped the price on the Xperia X (and others, as far as I can tell) again. The Xperia X is down to $270 with free shipping, no tax outside of NY/NJ. I've got this phone and I'm pretty happy with it. Nougat 7.1 updates available for it, so you'll have the latest Android operating system. For $270 it's an absolute steal. Spec list ripped from BH's site:

GSM / 4G LTE Capable
North American Variant
Rear 23MP Camera + 13MP Front Camera
f/2.0 Aperture and 24mm-Equivalent Lens
1.8 GHz Snapdragon 650 Hexa-Core CPU
32GB Storage Capacity + 3GB of RAM
5.0" IPS LCD Touchscreen Display
Full HD 1920 x 1080 Resolution
Includes Quick Charger
Android 6.0 Marshmallow

It's also worth noting that this guy has a Micro SD, so you can move all your media & apps out of the main storage.

They also have the lower end XA model for dirt cheap as well. This guy is not getting the Nougat update and otherwise has slightly lower hardware specs.

The bodies on these phones are a bit slippery, you'll definitely want a case if you're prone to dropping your phone.

I have the X Performance and having had Samsung, HTC, LG, Asus, and a few others, I love the Sony for simplicity in design, quality craftsmanship, and simple UI (close to stock). Also love the PS4 remote play capability and native support for DS4 controller.
If missing one band, generally speaking you won't get full coverage and/or slower Internet. You have to find out if att uses that band for a particular purpose or if it is for everything. While i don't have this phone, I have an older Xperia model which was missing a band on T-Mobile. after researching, I found out that it just meant I could not get full LTE speeds but internet and calls still worked.
1. Because not everyone wants a used phone.
2. Because they are different phones.
3. Because people have different likes and dislikes from yourself.

What is the comparable phone in other devices like LG and Samsung?
I love Sony's design and hardware, but software & update performance didn't get the best of the reviews.

I'm confused about AT&T LTE support. Following their link for North American Carriers, it says AT&T LTE bands are 2, 4, 17, and 30. But the phone's specs don't list band 30 support. Won't that be a problem?

I just bought the XA and I put my at&t sim card in it and it works. I don't see a way to move apps to the micro sd card it only shows an option for photos, video and music. It's supposed to get nougat later on.
