Need mattress help

1st time mattress buyer. I have no idea about them. Mine has a sagging section so it's time for an upgrade.

I'm 6 feet tall, 230 lbs. I usually sleep on my side, but I do sometimes sleep on my back. Only need it for myself. What size do I get? What type of mattress do you recommend? Don't have much of a budget, so I'm guessing I'm going to be stuck with the typical spring mattress. I've done some light local googling and I see some outlet stores near me. Mixed reviews. Are outlet stores just selling off brand stuff? A customer of mine offered to sell me a mattress at employee pricing at his store.

You have no idea what they paid for your debt, but it's quite possible that they only paid a couple hundred for it based on industry standards. However, what they paid for your debt has no bearing on what you owe. And now here you are looking to make another "want" purchase without paying your delinquent debt first. It's pretty ironic that you're a conservative and yet here you are looking for handouts and believing that the world owes you something.

I have had very expensive name brand mattresses from the furniture store that wore out almost before they were paid off. Last year i did a lot of online research before deciding on a memory foam mattress from Walmart. The Slumber 1-10" is the best mattress I've ever slept on. I bought the Spa sensations metal frame that is high and you don't need anything else. I got both in a king size on sale for about $300 total. It's completely silent, no squeaking, when you see the commercials of people jumping in the bed and a glass not spilling on the other side, it's seriously like that. I can get in and out without disturbing anyone. I spend most of the time in one spot and you don't sink in or anything.

I've recommended this bed to everyone i know. Three of my family members have all gotten the same bed. It works best with the metal platform type frame vs a box spring and traditional frame because you won't get the same benefits. It's a purchase I'm very happy with and there is about 1500+ reviews and it was almost 5 stars.

Look at the reviews on these, it's what I'm sleeping on now... Need a box spring but your old one is usually good. Matresses wear out before the box spring underneath.

I wish they made these or the 1-10 in Twin-XL

Do you know if they work on adjustable base? I am guessing they do since they come rolled in a box.

Visit the mattress stores nearby... You'll have an idea of the prices and the quality.

Biglots is having their 20% off sale this weekend. You can get a Queen Serta Perfect Sleeper and boxsprings for about $340.00 after taxes. I think its a firm.

You know, up until last year I was always supportive of buying furniture from Big Lots and encouraged others to do so, but not anymore. Last July we bought our son a recliner for his birthday and within 48 hours he had a rash from his c-spine to his feet. He also got really sick (trouble breathing) and had to go to the ER, doc-in-the-box and two different doctors over the course of 3 weeks. We had no idea what was going on and I was scared to death. He was off at college and we went back up to be with him and the chemical smell in his apartment was overwhelming. That's when I knew it was the recliner.

When we returned it to the store, management made like they were shocked and said "this has never happened before", but as we were leaving the store, two of the employees stopped us and told us that it had absolutely happened before. They said BL furniture has almost always come from China but that in the last couple of years the way the furniture was being dyed over there had changed and the chemicals are now extremely harsh. They said some employees got so sick they quit and that some of the loaders suffer from nosebleeds and other ailments.

I have no idea how much of what they told us is accurate and how much is embellished but I can say with absolute certainty that as soon as we got rid of the recliner, my son got well.

Good to know . I have a sofa of theirs I bought 6 months ago. I don't sit on it often, but so far so good.

I'm actually looking at a recliner right here in my living room right now that we bought from them 8-9 years ago and it's still in great shape and we never had any issues.

Maybe it's true what people have been saying the last couple of years, maybe the Chinese really are trying to kill us. laugh out loud
