my nephew got beat up (update #120 with the full story)

my sister just called here. my 8 year old nephew got beat up by this stupid kid (who's his 'friend' and a bad influence) and some other kid. he called her from his cell phone (he has one for emergencies) and he asked if she could pick him up. the kid lives down the street from them. she walks down there and she sees him walking up the street all bloody and beat up. she talks to the parents who saw it. one said she was going to call the cops when she saw it happen.
i think my sister should press charges against those kids. if this was your kid what would you do?

He's ok, isn't he?
i met kid #1 and he's a little punk ass. he thinks he knows everything and has such attitude. i wanted to
my nephew is ok. no serious injuries, thankfully.
Hopefully the police take it seriously, but if not, start petitioning the district attorney and/or raising hell as best you can.

He may have a hard head, but a Louisville slugger wouldn't know the difference. Oh wait...
seriously? call the school. tell him to keep his head up.
he will now learn who his friends are.
now get over it.
he is eight, and learning.
i assumed this was all common sense.

As for "pressing charges", 40.oz, yes - This is ASSAULT. Not just something said that hurt the OP's family's feelings.
I went to Catholic grammer school. Got beat up every day by two girls on the way home.
Didn't even dawn on me to tell my parents.
By highschool no one would dare mess with me.
Little scrappy athlete: basketball (jump and run!!)
Volleyball (jump and hit!)
Swimming (stamina)
Fencing: (aim and balance)
Is the kid a mama's boy? Teach the kid to protect himself.
Ok to hit boys, not ok to hit girls. Teach him that rule.
Get him on soccer team: (kicking, head butts, running)
I'm female: boys- kick, run and yell 'fire'
Girl on Girl: pull hair out no biting or spitting, scratching ok (gets dna under fingernails).
Cops will ignore it. Was the kid hospitalized? That's where reports to police are made. Stiches?
Good luck. That's my life lesson
Oh also, learn how to insult: learn their vulnerable spot:
Loser- you'll never get blah blah blah
Pick on features, teeth, face, nose, hair, weight, clothes.
Also, they should consider getting their son involved in a self-defense class or some other type of sport where he will build self-confidence and gain friends outside of the same bad group.
