It was a manager override. The headache of removing that ability at the store level is much greater than what they lose by people gaming the system.

As much as I feel your sentiment I think that it's ignoring the real issue, which is that Target should not be allowing a $50 gift card promo to stack on top of that. If anything they need to address...

No go over the phone. Target rep stated they won't price match Best Buy's price due to the "Save $20" by the actual price. Trying over chat now.
