Edit: I was wrong, I thought T480s allows M.2 SATA however turns out it's the same as T480 and only allows M.2 NVME/PCIe.

This is a M.2 2242 short version mainly used for Chromebooks or some Thinkpads that only have 1 2242 slot for a SSD. A regular sata 2.5" drive or a 2280 one would be better for many that have spare...
