That's part of it, Sprint is also using TDD and FDD technologies for their LTE. They actually have the 800SMR band for LTE too, maybe only 3 MHz in some areas, but that's better than a phone on 1x...

You have to have a phone that is completely paid off to use for the trade in. If your phone is in the lease with upgrade, you are not eligle for this deal.
