I have these outlets but the remote does not work. I've changed the battery but nothing. Anyone know if the light on the remote is suppose to come on. It does not on this remote.

bought these today for 12.99. planned on using them for indoor christmas lights since i couldn’t justify the cost of 4 smart plugs just to use for like 1 month a year. they are crap the remote...

Seems ok to me. Probably 433MHz like the Etekcity outlets. Is that a button on the front to control it?
