These particular kits are a lot higher quality and have more detail than the usual 1/144 ones. Also the Sazabi particularly is huge and is bigger than some 1/100 kits.

They are already painted, so no, you do not need to paint them. Some people prefer painting them to make them look more realistic, but a RG kit like the one in this post has very good colors already.

The Sazabi is much taller and bigger than most other things, so the 1/144 of it is actually just as big if not bigger than some 1/100 kits while also being more detailed
