Don't believe the marketing. There are much better upscaling, but the cost is high. The upscaling may be good for a $200 unit but don't get so hot and bothered about it that it clouds your better...

It adds too much to the cost. It is rare. I have the only blu-ray player that does it, an Oppo, that is no longer manufactured.

Non-Pro (The Tube) has less RAM, can't run a Plex server, and runs 32-bit apps. It's a gimped version according to what I've read. I'd avoid. I have 2 of the new Pros and they are great. 👍

Emulator's is what it mainly impacts I believe. And the Plex server issue is either a RAM or 32 but issue, I'm not sure. Either way I didn't want to be limited down the road.

Like I said, user error. None of my 20+ UHD rips stutter. DTS-HD and Tru-HD are converted to PCM losslessly so no sound quality loss.

The shield wasn’t nearly as unlocked as the fire tv. “Side loading” everything was a pain in the ass. Firestick 4K is just as fast and SO much simpler to use. And almost a third of the cost.
