The warranty was $35 for 2 years in addition to the 3 year manufacturers warranty. The main draw for me is that it seems like they include battery replacements, but I'm not sure if I'm missing any...

You may as well keep it for the battery replacements.

Hm, that makes sense to me. It also looks like batteries are cheap enough (whether Ryobi or third party) to make replacements a better bet than a warranty. Thanks.

If it covers the batteries it’s probably worth the $35. Replacement batteries are fairly costly and I had 2 go bad after about a year or so. Usually they go bad all at once, no warning either.

Not worth it. Ryobi has their own warranty, just don't forget to register. I've got a bunch of Ryobi tools and batteries and have never had a battery go bad in 5 years, let alone 2 years. The tools...
