I would cancel, the screen is not an IPS and if it says 1080p FHD, it’s probably low gamut. The SSD is SATA and the Lenovo linked below is NVME which is 3x times faster which is more important IMO ...

The statement that performance difference is minimal is no longer valid between gen 8 and gen 9 i7 mobile processors. The i7 in this laptop has 4 cores and 8 threads clocked at 1.8GHz with 8MB cache...

Agree with your disagree. I have two Acer laptops 6 years old and 11 years old. Family has 6 Acer laptops between all of us. Never a problem and still going strong all these years.

I agree. If the cpu was paired with a decent discreet GPU you would see the real improvement. But onboard intel GPU is the real bottleneck. No amount of 8th gen vs 10th gen is gonna improve onboard...

$580 for this machine seems not so hot. 8th gen processor & 256 GB SSD are not what I expect to see for this price. Might be an ok system if you need to but a laptop today but not worth picking...

If you look on Acer's website, they list a few new laptops that haven't been released yet... maybe because of the pandemic. Great specs and very inexpensive. Personally, I'd wait.
