I only take 100 mg YMMV (I use doctors best because I can just take the one pill to get 100 mg). Pill is kind of hard to swallow.

I've been taking these for months. I just do 1 in the morning with my daily multivitamin and fish oil. It's good stuff. I don't know about the calming effects. It doesn't make me tired or anything....
