This was a government loan - Stafford loan. They never sent me any letter about transferring loan holders. I'm hoping it's just paid off. LOL. And, no, I most definitely haven't tried calling them....

Just a wild guess, but I say your student loan was sold to another entity. Either that or somebody paid off their student loan and your account was credited by mistake. :dontknow:

Likely a transfer of loan holders, happened to me but I didn't think it mysteriously got paid off, I was more or so ticked because I didn't want to be charged late fees because of their slow...
