mr laugh after our drought we replaced the landscape in the yard, then 2 days latter 6 1/2 inches of rain and no rain since. Zoe we lost the front yard tree due to drought/ then lightening.
I do think we got off pretty lucky it could of been tons worse. Now wondering if we will ever get in a normal rain pattern. May 90s and hot at night still. Miss winter not much of it and jumped from spring right to summer thank you Slick deals !!

normal? what fun would that be??
there's no need for normal.considering how hot it was in late January/early February, I thought this spring actually went pretty well, this week was the first time we've had consistent highs above 90, and even then it was only 91/92/93. The rain we have gotten has definitely helped, although lake travis is still way, way low. we're still in stage 2 water restrictions in Austin, though, so only once a week lawn watering, no public fountains and the like... as long as it's not as bad as last year i'll be happy. I'll even take slightly more humidity, although hopefully not much more. DH is off for two more days.
Happiness and depression are both feelings, just like joy and anger. It's not feelings that give us problems. It's what we do with them that makes the difference.

it's going to be a fairly busy week, the performance year now ends at the end of May each year, so I have final year end reporting to do, plus a meeting with my team leader at some point. I have a presentation to get in to the conference organizers by Wednesday, my presentation at the conference is on the 5th.
After June 6th I actually don't have all that much scheduled, weirdly, summer might be slower than spring for me, normally summer is very busy, getting into heavy construction season and all. |

We have a bit of a mess here. The guys working on the 520 replacement bridge screwed up the first pontoons, which cost $8m-9m each, now they're trying to fix them. As if that weren't enough, there have been allegations that some of those same people are openly drinking on the job.

that can get messy in a hurry. when allegations of bad welds went flying in connection with the new oakland bay bridge, the FBI eventually got involved. Fraud complaints are taken very seriously, to say the least.
