Faint busy, busy day at work, have a bunch of stuff to catch up on. it's been a busy evening, too, trying to go through photos from Miami and looking at things to do in Minneapolis. and at some point I need to pack, have a night in Houston tomorrow Whee

I wish I could take a train to Houston or something, getting to be such a boring drive, 3+ hours of dead time, nothing to look at along the way Yawn I have better things to do with 6 hours of my time, but I need to help another engineer out on an inspection in Houston.

You could get some books on tape. I find focusing on a story helps pass the time. Used to have to do the drive from Dallas to San Angelo all the time. Now that's boring. Nothing to look at but pump jacks, cactus, mesquite trees and cattle. Tumbleweed

thankfully the ford fusions we have in the office have the sync system, so I plug in my phone and at least have my own music selection Whee I've got a couple of one and two hour DJ mixes :dance: that probably makes me drive faster than I should, but it makes the time go by fast enough Rock

Ninja in another hotel in suburban Houston... Been a crazy day. Has my car parked in the street, got to it 14 minutes after the meter expired, and three minutes after I got a parking ticket Frown $20, just enough to hurt.

Drive to houston was weird. Approaching la grange, a wrench icon appeared on the work car dash board. The owners manual says "power train fault, see a dealer immediately". I stop at a ford dealer in la grange. He starts saying it's probably the throttle linkage. Then he sees it's a hybrid and says they won't even touch a hybrid. I call the office, and am now told to try to get it back to austin instead. So I drove it to houston, will drive it tomorrow, and hope it gets me back to austin tomorrow afternoon

made it home okay. it's been a weird 36 hours nod Faint the work review went well, at least. while I was out, I got asked to go to DC on Sunday for work, for all day meetings Monday and Tuesday. I'm already booked, so I'll have to turn them down, Monday I leave for another trip, hitting Waco, a night in Fort Worth and a few nights in Dallas Sheep

I think the caffeine is doing weird things to me - I had two crystal lights with it, plus a five hour energy because I was still having trouble staying fully awake while driving back. Now my body just feels weird. I know I'm tired, I even took a nap earlier, but I'm also kinda wired Dontknow Bounce Faint not sure what to do.

full day in the office tomorrow, what a novel concept laugh out loud
