I'd say $55 is pretty fair for that.
That being said, I'd really like to just buy the adapter (which I agree is pretty cheap to make) and use my existing 100w USB-C chargers.

Well, 100w USB-C chargers are pretty pricey on their own. They constantly go FP for over $35, many without a cable. 100w rated usb-c cable isn't too cheap too.
Then this one has a specialty adapter that lets you charge DeWalt batteries with it and also charge other devices with your battery.
I'd say $55 is pretty fair for that.
That being said, I'd really like to just buy the adapter (which I agree is pretty cheap to make) and use my existing 100w USB-C chargers.
The part that snaps onto the battery is bidirectional; besides being able to accept power for charging DeWalt batteries, it can also *output* power to other devices... Including some *laptops*, because it's capable of 100W (!) output via USB-C. Maybe not worth it if you don't need that much charging power, but not many power banks can output 100W.

I use mine to run my 12v portable refridgerator on trips. Fridge runs from the car while it is running and when tge car is not running I can now run the fridge from my dewalt batteries
