To add on, most people also still have many 3.5mm headphones, which the 9th Gen still has a port for. 10th Gen is only Bluetooth audio which is the present and future but even tech nerds hate Bluetooth connections. Bluetooth audio is amazing once it is rockn and rolln but it is also a royal pain up the ass at the least desirable of times
Seems like inflation has kept this product from depreciation. Still way overpriced imo. It was this price last year.
This is MORE than enough for basic media consumption. That it. Nothing else. 90% of America would be happy with it.
Think of this like basic car as Toyota Corolla. Need more "room and power"? Spend more for a Camry; not settling for a Corolla lol

64 GB of storage is a no from me. The OS takes up about 20gb alone and no way to expand it without paying for an iCloud subscription. Also, this iPad is hella old. It will be out of updates soon.
We all have our opinions what what is a good buy for ourselves. So it sounds like "for you", the 10t gen Ipad is the one for you.
Now, when I do research on what gadget might be good "for me", I will look at both User reviews and Pro reviews and also current youtube videos on giving their take on what is slick deal right now on an ipad (all versions). I have seen videos of a number of yourtube videos with the reviewer lining all the current models on a table, and discussing the pro's and con's of them, and also the model that is the "smart buy" depending on what you wanting to do on the device. In the reviews I have seen that the ipad 9th gen for 249 dollars is the slickest deal for "most people" currently .
Also the ipad 9th gen has tons of user reviews on amazon and sells about 10k a month. IPAD 9th gen has 60,000 reviews and the ipad 10 gen has 10,000 total (on the Amazon website)
The higher model ipad would be good for specialized users and the reviewers go into those perks of the higher priced models.
Listen, I do understand you coming down on "only 64gb" storage, ... but before the ipad 9th gen ... the earlier gens only had 32gb storage ... base models. The ipad 9th and 10th gen has 64gb storage base model.
Do you own the ipad 9th gen, I do. What Ipad to you currently use?

THIS. 9th gen w/ 3.5 jack was perfect for my elderly parents whom would rather just hook up regular headphones instead of connecting to Bluetooth earpods that most likely will get lost since they are very careless and technology challenged
This is a deal and not a deal at the same time.
Bought couple years ago at 250 from bestbuy and own 2 of these.
Best thing is that we owned the previous 8th generation for 3-4 years, bought for 250 and traded-in at bestbuy for $220 lol - only added 30 bucks to upgrade to gen9 for 250 again.
So now it has been couple years using gen9.
You can not do any better than this: they hold insane value and you will be able to offload in 3-4 years back to bestbuy at almost full price. Also it can do everything quite well as the other ipads with less fancy tech but still super smooth. I use it to read books at work during the lunch, and as a second/third screen to my macbooks on the go.
