These frames are super mass produced under a variety of brand names, there is nothing particularly special about these frames. That being said I am a huge fan of these because they are actually repairable and upgradeable.. The standardized headset, BB, and Disc brakes make this IMO a solid buy at this price. If you want to upgrade you can get some Shimano hydraulic brakes for $40. If suspension is a concern you can throw on a $50-60 Suntour NCX suspension seatpost to help out there. Other than that I wouldn't touch much else.

If you have some mechanical inclination buy the H1 model for $50 less and throw a 9/10 Speed Shimano CUES on it for an extra $70-90.
After reading through countless shitty bike threads over the past few weeks, I think this might be the shitty bike for me.

Pretty sure that the clear rubber strip is supposed to go on the inside of the front white reflector cuff so that it doesn't damage the handlebar. The manual actually mentions it in that section I think as a "sizing strip" or something similar.

Bingo! I bet that is it!

The H1 for $50 is a better buy. For comfort/commuter bikes, I tend to remove the front deraileur anyway, for mostly hill climbing and slow speed gears thats gets more use anyway.

I installed this one earlier today -- it fits and works perfectly fine: https://www.amazon.com/BV-Adjusta...B00DYFS3N4

On the H2, there's two screw just behind where the seat gets inserted. (Where the body forks toward the rear wheel)
What are the purpose of those? One of the screws was not inserted all of the way, so I started to try to screw it in and realized that it's actually inserted into another piece that is basically a "plug" or something. I can't imagine it's a critical component but that's the only "flaw" with the bike. It snowed today so I haven't had a chance to take it for a ride. The front brake rubbed a little as another poster mentioned but I was able to fix that.

I believe those are mount points - for a rear bike mount rack/cargo holder.

That might be what my mystery 2 plastic plugs are for... mine had both screws in the frame. maybe I can take the screws out and insert the plugs. I am missing one plug however.

Im fine with just leaving the screws in though.

After taking the H1 on the first real ride... Front tire is pretty far out-of-true, and the rear rotor as well (I think?) -- the result is intermittent/cyclical scraping of the brake pads from both wheels. I guess I'm definitely going to need to take it into a shop.

I have not been able to ride mine yet. Weather has been terrible. I hear my brakes rubbing occasionally also. But have not taken the time to try to troubleshoot yet.

Have you exhausted all possible brake adjustment possibilities?

Good luck!

The rubbing is periodic/cyclical on both wheels and I can see the wobblen while inspecting the rotor contact with the brake pads. I could maybe adjust the brakes themselves for more tolerance but that wouldn't really be addressing the underlying issue.

should be able to straighten with the spoke wrenches but sometimes the rotor can be warped also. Theres a tool for that but a lot of people just use a wrench.

None of them has front derailleur, H1 and H2 are both 1x drive…

Thanks for all of the info (most of which is over my head).

Is this worth $50 more than the H1?

Yes, the disc brake M2 upgrade is very worth it.
