Note: While this will now be the standard T-Mobile Connect plan at this price tier, due to overwhelmingly positive feedback and high interest from the community in the new upgrade from 3.5GB to 5GB of data monthly (previously announced as a jump to only 4GB), we have promoted this offer to the Frontpage for light data/mostly-WiFi users to consider.

T-Mobile offers their T-Mobile Connect Prepaid Wireless Service Plan w/ Unlimited Talk & Text + 5GB Data for $15/month (plus taxes & fees). Purchase of a SIM Card Starter Kit for $10 (one-time cost) may also be required.

Thanks to community member picframe for finding this deal.

Notice my $15 plan up from 3.5GB to 5.0GB this March. ( it was supposed to be extra 500MB a year til 2025 ) Other than that, same old Global Wifi-calling, ESIM support, unlimited voice/msg.. nothing more......

If you dont feel like paying big chunk at once, this is not a bad deal. Plus, you can change plan on the fly ( such I go down to $10 before I travel oversea or switch to $25 plan for my summer outdoor activities - all via website without talking to CSR )

$30/month 100minutes 5GB is terrible.
"without talking to CSR"

Golden comment the idiot MBAs working at all these corporate headquarters haven't figured out the importance yet.
It's a hard cap. But you can easily top it up, if needed. For example, top up by $5 gives you an additional 2GB.
I have been on T-Mobile connect for the last 1 year and it has been great for me.

What, if any, is the difference between T-mobile connect prepaid, and t-mobile prepaid?

And why are they running both?
Good question. The Connect Prepaid was required by the government for the Tmobile-Sprint merger. Tmobile prepaid is more expensive.

Is this essentially a rebranded version of the Mint Mobile plan, since T-Mobile bought Mint?

I remember that plan. It was glorious 10 years ago. Only available at Walmart, right? The hidden plan. Lol

I remember that. I also remember some guy on eBay selling T-Mobile paygo cards for cheap that I'd use to pay with. It was a big thing on Fat Wallet (RIP).

There is no T-Mobile Tuesday with T-Mobile Connect. I think it is in the FAQs on their webpage if I remember correctly.

More so a public notice that the plan now has 5GB of data instead of 3.5gb moving to 4gb.
More data at same price makes it more competitive compared to other prepaid plans. Worked out for me since I've been on the $15 plan since it was 2gb.

Yes. I usually add $50 at a time when Target has $5 off $50 + 5% redcard. Covers 3 months and some left over for next time.

interesting about being required to offer it.

Is there other differences? Like is tmobile prepaid in a higher data prioirty than connect is?

Is there strange roaming differences? Or one doesnt have voicemail?
