Southwest Airlines offers its Rapid Rewards Members (free to join): Purchase a Round Trip or 2 One-Way Flights and Travel by 5/22/24, get a Companion Pass for Free when you register for the promotion. Must book flight(s) by 3/27/24. Companion Pass is valid on flights between August 5, 2024, and October 2, 2024.

That agent was indeed misinformed. The terms specifically say "Not valid on flights purchased with Rapid Rewards points." I would trust the terms over random agent.

Southwest Airlines's Companion Pass allows Rapid Rewards Members (free to join) to designate one person to fly with them for free every time the Customer purchases or redeems points for a flight. This promotion will allow a companion to fly free between August 5 - October 2, 2024 if you follow the steps.

Does anyone know if booking through Concur for work would trigger this? It's not 100% clear if it has to be booked direct on swa.com
