DRAM is soldered, but it's 32GB which is VERY good for a laptop in this price range. 12th gen CPU, even though not the latest, still has plenty of processing power for anything you throw at it. Not really a gaming laptop due to the GPU limits, but is should handle older (2yrs or older) games just fine with some setting tweaking. Screen seems to be the BEST feature of this laptop. Size, resolution, ratio and 500nits (!!!) is fantastic for $800. If I wasn't on a camera shopping spree currently, I'd snatch this guy up. 👍
So something with 32gb, 2.5K 120hz display was $400 last year?
Any laptop with thunderbolt 4 can be charged via USB C

But what stopped me from getting that deal was the mediocre screen. At least that one had a 1080p webcam. I'm surprised the laptop on this deal only has a 720p webcam even though it's a more expensive laptop at twice the price.
Also, what intrigued me about the $400 laptop deal was this: "With Rapid Charge Boost technology, the laptop gives you two hours of power with just 15 minutes of charging." I don't see any mention of rapid charge feature on this $800 one. Anyone have any input of how long the 75Whr battery should last?
This is not the price range you want. We all buy these for $400 last year and then $450 just a couple of days ago. I bought 5 of these last year and they took exactly six months to sell for about $600. Nobody's paying anything more than that.

The refurbished ones have been $440-$600 a few times.
