Not sure what you bought but Grizzly is definitely a trusted store/site. Huge in the woodworking community.
Not to the exact tools but in general Grizzly and Shop Fox make mid grade tools. Probably a step above Wen/Ryobi. I do have a Shop Fox disc sander and a Grizzly drill press, no issues with either.

For example the Shop Fox dowel jig gets 4.4/5 on Home Depot at $55.

I can't speak to these items, but I've got a Grizzley contactor saw (table saw). It is excellent quality and has stood up well over the years. When I bought it, I'd never heard of them so I contacted them. They are US based with Chinese made stuff, but have engineers in the plants in China. The stuff is made to their spec. It's way above Harbor Freight quality.

This one looks exactly like the one from Harbor freight I bought last month for $20 bucks.

Maybe for their higher end items but stuff like this all come from the same factory.
The contractor saw I bought was essentially a Delta clone. Every bit as good for a couple hundred less.

The finewoodworking podcast has an episode from back in 2021 if you're interested to hear more about the company. I've bought products from them back as far as 2007. Solid company, and they also have a scratch and dent section on their site. They used to hold warehouse sales that folks drive to from several states away... not sure if they are doing these again.

Edit: https://www.finewoodworking.com/2...industrial

They've been around since the early 80's. I know because I bought a 6" joiner from them back in 1984, freight shipped to my house. Apparently it was made in Taiwan, and copied from a Powermatic model 60 joiner. I had to do a fair amount of work "re-machining" mounting spots for the cutterhead in order to get it level across the beds. Fortunately the gibs were in good shape, and beds were parallel.

One other customer at the time suspected cast iron castings were made from molds from Powermatic original parts, without factoring in the shrinkage after cooling. I suspect they've improved production techniques a lot in the last 30 years!

Grizzly is a great company. I used to live next door to their main Bellingham showroom.

As has been said, they're a mid tier tool company. A nice step above Wen and Ryobi, and on par with Jet, Delta, Rikon, etc.

Most of their machines are nearly the same as their Jet/Delta/Rikon counterparts (and sometimes made in the same facilities), but they have two things that really set them apart in my opinion.

#1. You can buy replacement parts directly from Grizzly for nearly all of their machines! That can really be a godsend.

#2. They write their instruction manuals in the U.S.A. for the more complex machines (like a mill for example), it can be absolutely game changing.

I definitely love them for #1. I bought a used Grizzly bandsaw off Facebook and Grizzly's website made it simple to find and order the replacement parts I needed.

Ihave to imagine at these prices these things are cheap Chinese manufactured items. Can anyone speak to the quality of some of these items?
As long as these are not used to build a space shuttle, you should be OK.

Dang... That escalated quickly... Just spent almost 300 bucks on things I've been meaning to get. They have a bare woodworking vice ($25) for peanuts compared to other places fyi . Usually $100 +

I have a dual drum drum sander I bought off facebook and I have bought several replacement parts directly from them which is great.

Yeah, I don't know a single carpenter that doesn't have at least 1 grizzly tool in their shop. They aren't YouTubers, and none of them have a podcast, but most of them work on Lakefront mansions in and around Chicago, so they must know something.
