This isn't directly helpful, but I honestly feel like I see prop 65 warnings on 95% of stuff I buy. I just assumed something about that rule made it so everyone just adds the warning to avoid trouble. Maybe I'm living ignorantly.

Got this before when it was $20. The battery is a bit tight fitting, but overall, it is good quality for the money. At this price, I bought another just for the heck of it. They also sell 20k balls for $1.50 on walmart

I've seen that warning on food. California has a stupid law, and companies slap that warning on everything to protect themselves from it.

If this product contains lead, it's in the solder joints, just like a lot of electronics. So, don't break them open and eat solder off the wires.

That's the point, the companies intentionally lobbied for the rule to be so broad that everything had to have it, so you keep buying the shit that *does* kill you because you don't know what will and won't.

The top hopper being gravity feed is a much better design. The accuracy on gel blasters are bad and you always end up hip firing. The sights are mostly useless. The magazine feed needs to prime and then in the end you need to flip the gun upsidedown to gravity feed the last few beads in the mag.

I remember reading about that 2 years ago when the Gel blaster had limited competition like the SplatRball. But I've seen videos lately of the higher end models $75 and above from various companies now and it doesn't look like an issue anymore? Or at least, less of an issue than I remember seeing?

I have both of those (though I'm not proud to admit it). They both are really solid. The surge shoots harder and repeats faster but like the other commenter said, it's less accurate. This one is also better at firing only one orbee at a time which make single shot mode a lot more fun. The surge almost always shoots at least 2 at a time like a shotgun which makes them shoot much slower. BUT, the nighttime version with the surge is incredible. It's just tracers. They glow so bright and it's an absolute blast. It's a must if you plan to play at night and want to have an idea of where you're hitting and how close you are to being hit. Sooooo yeah you need both 🤷 ♂️ especially since the surge is down to $39.

Can't you just use glow in the dark ammo for any gun?

You need a uv light source to charge the glow in dark ammo. There are mods to add uv LEDs to the lightning mag, but it's not as effective since the mag only gets power when the trigger is pulled. Just get the Starfire or Surgle xl from Walmart, they're both on sale 25 and 39. It's a blast, but the ammo is more expensive now. I stocked up when they were 2.50.

i just received mine.. OMG these are awesome.. and for $11 its a steal.
pros:
-pretty well built
-super fun in full auto
Cons:
-doesnt feed well when down to the last 30 or so (i remedied this by flipping the gun over for the last 30 which helps feed)
