Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G tablet at Metro for $49.99. Add it as a second line with minimum $20 data plan. I'm just ordered mine few minutes ago. it was showing OOS until last night but it became available this morning. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. don't really need it but why not at this price. Total paid $75 with $20 data plan and $4.xx taxes.

FYI - for those not aware - you'd need to have an existing Metro account to be able to purchase this tablet (or any other device as a second/additional line. Like any other Metro phones, this tablet purchase is prepaid, and so you are not locked into any kind of contract. You only need to pay for the tablet and first month of data plan. Then you are free to cancel the service, keep the tablet just as a regular wifi device. This is my first time buying a Metro tablet but I'm still hoping it will unlock after 6 months just like any other Metro phone.

Warning ? ️ - try not to go to Metro stores. They are in general scammers and will try their best to treat you like a fool and steal your money by forced up selling and forced mandatory accessories, exorbitant taxes, and insurance with or without your consent. Try ordering online. You've been warned ??????
Also, if you buy online, there's no activation fees and tax applies to the discounted price. You'll save yourself good cash and respect and a way better deal if you order online.

I think you should put not 49.99 price in the title but 69.99 as a new line of 20 bucks is required.
Saw it added to their website yesterday but it was not in stock.
Called to order through customer service but order didn't go through.

Tried again on the website and was able to order one just now.

Better than buying the Costco WI-FI only version for double the price!
Don't ask me how I know this...

You're getting that reply because your browser couldn't connect to the authentication server Metro uses.

Could be an adblocker, host file, etc. Or even your ISP could be doing it.

The simple answer is to turn off any and all adblockers, script blockers etc.

When everything is working correctly you'll see three challenge questions to authenticate your identity.

And before you say it, yes they do this even if you've already logged in with your Metro account to purchase the tablet. It seems they do the three challenge questions on every order regardless of whether you're already a customer or not.

To sum it up, you need to find what's blocking the connection to that authentication server. I found that turning off all adblocking etc, and opening an incognito tab on my phone, which had WIFI off, and connecting through my mobile network fixed this problem several times.

Good luck

"Label created" timestamp is AFTER "package is in transit"?!!
Yeah, that sequence of UPS tracking is illogical.

Thank you. Lol...well, I ordered on Saturday, received the confirmation email Saturday night, but even that says my order was placed on Sunday...like how can you send an email from the future or vice versa, lol. I always just chalk it up to time stamp issues via wherever info is being sent in the U.S. The base of my email said it was sent out locally, which I thought was funny.

Same here. Placed my order at 9:10pm CDT Sat 4/6, received the order confirmation a few minutes later with Order Date: 04-07-2024. If Metro uses GMT (some companies use it internally) then it was 2:10am 4/7/24 GMT at that moment.

Guys do any of you knows the answer to this: if I buy the tablet for the data plan, can I move the sim to another tablet that has sim option (oukitel rt3) and gift this to my mom? (oukitel rt3 is tablet with military specs so it does work better for me at constructions sites when I'm on break). Anyone who has done this can confirm that it works? Thanks

I too think it should be the same but before I order it I wanted to make sure so that's why I wanted to see if anyone has any experience doing in the past. Thanks

To move the SIM card requires logging into your account and switching the IMEI of the attached device to the new device. Don't skip this step as the SIM card is locked to the original device IMEI. It's a legacy process from when Metro was a CDMA provider.

It's not ideal, but usable. I'm way more bewildered by latest MBPs with 8GB of shared memory.
For the price, yes, 8GB of ram on the latest Mac computers is ridiculous as well, that's apple being apple, but 8gb on a Mac system is much more reliable than 8GB on a windows computer, same goes for iPhones/iPads, 4GB on an iPhone/iPad is a lot more reliable than 4GB on an Android device. They need to have at least 6GB of ram and above on any android device from Samsung in 2024 going forward.
