With current prices, you can build a comparable machine for about $2600 (plus money for Windows 11, a keyboard, and mouse). Dell's offering saves you about $300 over this:
Intel Core i7-13700 2.1 GHz 16-Core Processor
ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 280 72.8 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
ASRock B760M-H/M.2 Micro ATX LGA1700 Motherboard
Crucial CT2K8G48C40U5 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR5-4800 CL40 Memory
TEAMGROUP MP33 512 GB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
MSI GAMING TRIO GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB Video Card
Thermaltake Versa H18 MicroATX Mini Tower Case
Deepcool PX1000G 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Total for that build with current prices is $2636.75.

"I put my last XPS machine in a NZXT case, upgraded the power supply for an upgraded video card. Upgraded..."
So you didn't just "upgrade my PSU in my last system to a 1000w without cooling modifications"...you put the guts in a new case (why?) and then added a PS and "hungrier GPU"???
Hopefully that "hungrier GPU" is a 4090, else I have no idea why you even thought you had a reason to have an opinion (to quote yourself).
I wouldn't care about looks now, no one gonna look at it but me... if it can handle beastly games at high res.. then that's all that matters. Ayyyy
Absolutely. Just give me a cheap case with airflow. If they still had Packard Bell cases that fit modern hardware I'd buy it. I don't need lights or glass windows. Just work.
It's most likely Della's own psu
Also
The newer Dell has their own shape… not traditional mobo shape
Thanks, I'm in!

They wanted too much to increase the ram and nvme so Amazon has already delivered the Samsung 990 Pro 4 TB and another stick of 32 GB ram.
FedEx says delivery won't be until Monday
Of course, ymmv as my DDR5 6400 is running stable for me.

I bought a prebuilt HP machine during 2020 when the only way to get a decent card was to buy a prebuilt. First machine i bought or built since intel 6th gen. I could not upgrade the memory, cpu or add in a second NVME due to motherboard limintations. it was extremely frustrating. ended up just replacing it with an older gpu and sold the machine for cheap and built my own. If there wasn't a gpu shortage i would have been really frustrated with my decision.

Certainly wouldn't use it as is. Cooling looks bad, probably gets throttled. Also needs more RAM and more SSD space if you want it to last a few years.
