There is an infuriating amount of literal trash in this, especially plastics. The rest is mostly mulch.

My assumption is that miracle gro licenses this out to different manufacturers regionally (I doubt they're shipping dirt cross country). If you're in the northeast, open a bag or two before you buy an entire pallet.
Yes. If you do a 1:1 mix with potting mix.
Works well for both queen size and king size

The same at Lowe's is $2.29 but has buy 3 get 3 free which beats this. Unless I'm missing something.

It's 2.29 a bag after the buy 3, get 3 free. It's actually $4.58 a bag before the BOGO.

I use this in raised beds and fabric grow bags. I mix in cheap top soil and perlite for better drainage. Perlite at my local Home Depot is expensive, $6+ for 8 quarts. One of my local hydroponics stores sells 4 cubic feet of perlite for $27.

How does this compare to the 2cuft potting soil at Costco?

Yep, this was so confusing at the store. I thought it was a big steal at 1/4 the price but it was pretty much just BOGO at regular price

This probably counts as threadcrapping but as others have commented, this (and generally most bagged soils) have issues ranging from biosolids, to plastics, to barely composted woody materials. There are a some simple soil recipes which end up costing you a little more and are more work to mix but you have control of your soil (look up buildasoil). Or even better if you have a little time for your planting season, you can use different a cheaper methods to fill beds/build soil. Focus on nurturing a soil rich in microbial and fungal life and your yields will rise more than something like this could ever put out

I use this in garden beds just fine, it drains plenty. For pots I mix my native soil and some perlite. Yes its a lot of broken down wood chips which eventually break down into pretty rich soil for me in my garden when it was all clay when I first came. For raised beds, fill it with as much twigs, leaves, and small/medium branches as you can to fill it up, you only need the top layer to be this + peat moss + compost mix. Also if you have a truck just check your local waste facility they often have free compost/mulch. I don't have one thats consistently giving enough in my new city so I have to buy this.

It is 4.59 for 1 at Lowe's with b3g3 free
4.59x3=13.77 / 6 (b3g3) =2.29 unless I am not correct

There is nothing more miserable than going to Home Depot in the peak of spring picking up multiple bags of soil + loading into car. The soil could be free and I still wouldn't want to do it

Last year, at one of the stores near me it was 2.29 AND B3G3 free. Just at that store. I'll have to check it out again this year.

Can mix this with sand and use for lawn leveling or not ?

I wouldn't. Get yourself some 3 way mix at rockery place. They deliver 2 cubic yards etc cheaper in the longer run. Or 2 way and and top soil
