About this Item:
Feeds plants for up to three months
Improves existing soil to build strong roots
Use with annuals, perennials and all types of vegetables
There is an infuriating amount of literal trash in this, especially plastics. The rest is mostly mulch.
My assumption is that miracle gro licenses this out to different manufacturers regionally (I doubt they're shipping dirt cross country). If you're in the northeast, open a bag or two before you buy an entire pallet.
Yes. If you do a 1:1 mix with potting mix.
Works well for both queen size and king size

I just purchased the Sta-Green from Lowes and it certainly is mostly mulched/pulverized wood/chips. I dont mind(maybe) as I just used it to top off some raised beds that I pre loaded with leaves and partially composted yard waste. I then topped it off with a couple bags of cheap potting soil that i got from Walmart clearance last year, which was also basically just more mulched wood chips, but a little bit more composted.
I say this to say I've bought the miracle grow a few years ago and I've gotten bags that were definitely more broken down, but they were kinda like top soil and needed to be amended. I've also had some that were kinda like the sta-green bags I just got. Guess it's luck of the draw what's being offered. I'm in Milwaukee if that matters to you.
I know that these use to be 1.0 cubic ft. per bag. Wow how shrink flation is going across all products. I guess they think most won't ever notice the difference.
Nobody knows. I want to know the same very annoying they don't tell you on the website. Any insiders know? Now even if the deal is on for a week this is popular and I doubt the piles will last for more than a week.

There is nothing more miserable than going to Home Depot in the peak of spring picking up multiple bags of soil + loading into car. The soil could be free and I still wouldn't want to do it
Wow. I just went, grabbed a shopping cart, got 5 bags, went to checkout, went to the car, opened the trunk and tossed them in. Not that tough.

Here is the link to Lowe's: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Sta-Gree...50143044
Also, they have larger bags of potting soil that I've gotten in the past for $12: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Sta-Gree...50143044
I mix it with peat moss, black cow, and potting mix. I also mix in blood and bone meal when I mix it in my bed.
